It's not anything "screaming" in pain or otherwise. What you're hearing isn't anything more than electrons spiraling around in the magnetosphere, and radiating away energy in the form of low frequency radio waves.

You can't even really hear it - the frequencies that are radiated are kilometric, meaning 50KHz-500KHz; they've done a frequency shift to bring some of them into the audio range.

It's a totally natural function of the Sun emitting charged particles and the Earth having a magnetic field.
