China 'avoiding military ties with US'

presstv.ir

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates says China is reluctant to expand military ties with the US amid growing differences between the two countries.

"The PLA (People's Liberation Army) is significantly less interested in developing this relationship than the political leadership of the country," AFP quoted Gates as saying on Thursday ahead of a security conference in Singapore.

Our relationship with China is an important one that we can't afford to sour. China's role at the UN can't be ignored and the more that we distance ourselves with China, the more they can affect our world-standing.

I don't believe that a war with China will ever be realized, at least in our lifetime, however war is not the only way to defeat a country. As everyone knows, China is the new up and coming super power and they will eventually become far more powerful and influential than the US. Now is not the time to be souring our relationship with them.

I think it's imperative that both countries maintain a good relationship, especially as they hold a ton of our debt. A peaceful relationship between the two means a better world. If TSHTF with Iran or NK though, it will be interesting to see how the relationship changes.

Do ya blame them?
every time the NATO members have a drill
somebody's battle ship gets sunk
or their buildings fall down
or their trains blow up
and they're on the same side!
And then when asked, the guy who ran the 7 7 drill in london..
who had said it was amazing that every vehicle in the drill
really did blow up
he went and hid in a closet...

Not to offend the military...
I mean false flag

I think what they are really saying here is;

We have to distance ourselves now because if the U.S goes to bat for S Korea, and we go to bat for N.Korea the proverbial ca ca is gonna hit the rotary oscillator.

Dont blame China one bit as anytime a country makes military ties to the u.s the country in question gets screwed .. Plus dont think China wants to be associated with the illegal/immoral wars the u.s has going on.. Thumbs up to China for not wanting to be another u.s puppet.

They have (had) their own immoral wars against Tibet and India. It is funny that there are actually people out there who believe that China is any different than the US. They are after world power. Why do you think they increase their defense budget with billions on a yearly basis. Why do you think they are building up such a huge navy force? For power projection.

China is coming, and if you believe that they will remain a sleeping tiger, you'll face a new surprise in the coming decades.

Ahh yes the usual western answers.. Lets see in the same timeframe the u.s has poked its nose into vietnam, el salvador, panama, nicarauga, lebanon, iran, iraq, afghanistan, bosnia, somalia and the list goes on.. The u.s has more people in prison and continues to take away the rights of it citizens.. And thats just the tip of the iceberg. Thanks for playing and have a nice day.

So did the Roman empire, the Greek empire, the Persian empire, the Egyptian empire, the Mongolian empire, the Aztec empire, the Macedonian Empire, the Islamic empire and every other empire. Empires come and go and all of them leave their trails of bloodshed behind. The US is no exception on that rule (although it is not an empire in the classical meaning of the word). China would behave similarly and already does to its minorities.

Thinking they would behave differently if they would ever become as powerful as the US, is an utopia and has nothing to do with the 'Western answer'.

This is old news, was on CNN two weeks ago.

The PLA is a seperate arm than the communist party - they hold different views...

Just last year they said they were willing to lose half of China's cities in a war with the U.S.

Old fashioned is old fashioned and thankfully, they are a dying breed.

One other thing: China is also a globalist puppet nation. Why do you think the globalist elite supports their policies? They believe Communist-in-name-only China is the future, and a proving ground for their one world order agenda.

After the United States and Russia are destroyed from the face of the earth in the days following WWIII, the PRC will be the last superpower under the NWO Antichrist regime, and their loyal enforcer.
