There is ONE known way to fight back....

Get everyone on a coordinated effort, to all go on the same day to the bank and take out all of the cash you have. Pay your bills with money orders. Leave enough in the account to keep it open and do this for ONE week, or two if you really want them to grovel. They need your money to make their money... take it away from them and watch the real fun begin. Do you really think these people risk THEIR own money? HELL NO! And to be clear, I'm not talking about a run on the banks, but remember that as of right now, banks are allowed to use YOUR money on the open market to gamble it and that is what is driving the stock market and many other financial instruments of destruction. Take that away, and it will be like the corporations are basically walking into a gun fight with a spit ball, and we have a grenade launcher. If something were to go viral, it should be this. It's all about the banks and the inflatable money supply and how that money is able to transfer to wealth if you know how to manipulate it.

So I say, hit em where it hurts....

~Namaste

when obama started his run for presidency...he had all the hopes and support from the majority of people around the world who were tired and appalled of that idiot bush. I NEVER brought into obama...even back then there were rumors and accusations of massive funding from wall street. How could any sane informed person EVEN THINK that american would get a freely elected president!!! I always said that obama can be judged on one thing alone...his actions in the middle east.

I'm surprised that anyone is surprised that Obama turned out to be yet another glorified con man. If a politician's lips are moving, he's lying.

Proof now that incompetence doesn't know the difference between Republican or Democrat.

He's no Kennedy. Just a new boss, same as the old boss. Only talks sweeter.

Why not go ahead and mention Bush (both of them) and every president you've have for a long, long time.

The fact is this article is not new news, anyone with sense has known for years all politicians are in the pockets of the corporations, both sides of politics. This isnt a partizan issue, its a complete political system issue which will continue to happen until lobbying is banned, companies kicked out of washington and all the American people start actually looking at how their country is run.

Here in Australia things are a bit better, all gifts and donations to campaigns have to be declared and nowhere near as much is given, politicians who break these rules are regularly kicked out and such. The US government needs more accountability. Im sure politicians would change if the people made them do it, or stopped just listening to MSM all the time. Then they woudn't need to have so much money behind them to win campaigns, meaning they wouldn't be in the pockets of corporations.

THe only thing I needed to convince me that our Dear Leader is in the pocket of BP and every other major corporation is the fact that the is a successful politician. There are no more than a small handful that are not so.

It took you TILL THIS EVENT to oppose Obama????? Holy latecomers Batman!
There's like a 20 bullet point list I can rattle off...but hey...who's counting.

And to oppose Obama (or Democrats) one doesn't have to be a "birther", "Neocon", or even a Republican for that matter. Plenty of us Libertarians and Independents don't watch Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin.....are ANTI WAR moreso than Democrats....and care for the Environment also.

Don't get wrapped up in the false paradigms of Right VS. Left...there's really no such thing anymore. It's a con job.

To the thread topic:

Obama and Bush LOVE DEM SUM OIL! Now it's Wall Street and Oil....Wall Street and Oil....Wall Street and Oil....

America, these are our Masters. We are OFFICIALLY in a Fascist Government. Barrack a Socialist??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Smell the Feudalism Corporatism Oligopoly folks. We're all Serfs and we're starting to realize it.

After this BP spill, the illusion that we have any kind of Representative Government can be demonstrated as being FALSE.

Bush = Oil, Military Industrial Complex, War, Drug Trade, Energy, Bailouts for Banks, No solution to Illegal Immigration, sweeping powers, fraud, Wall Street

Obama= Oil, Military Industrial Complex, War, Drug Trade, Carbon Tax Scam, Bailouts for Banks, No solution to Illegal Immigration, sweeping powers, fraud, Wall Street Insiders

We've been had people. We now see that we are expendable and just a cash cow. They reap the profits and all the losses rest on us.

FASCISM.

All our illusions are crumbling away. We no longer have a Government of the People, by the People, and for the People. We're owned by Mega Corporations and Bankers.

Sleep well biartches!!!!!!!

It's not just BP. All modern elected leaders are slaves to corporations. The more wealthy the corporation, the more power they have over leaders. Check out every wealthy US corporation and you'll find a money trail through their entire history leading to politicians/presidents.

It's the reason countries continue doing what they always do no matter who is elected. For example, Obama might have thought he could pull the US out of Iraq before he got elected, but after he was, he found out how little power the president truly has. Corporations run the show. Presidents are just talking heads who read prepared speeches, and make the public feel like they have some kind of control.

its been said before, it will be said again, but we can all agree, Thomas Jefferson said it best, "The central bank is an institution of the most deadly hostility existing against the Principles and form of our Constitution. I am an Enemy to all banks discounting bills or notes for anything but Coin. If the American People allow private banks to control the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the People of all their Property until their Children will wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered."

Oligarchy
Pronunciation: \ˈä-lə-ˌgär-kē, ˈō-\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural ol•i•gar•chies
Date: 1542
1: government by the few
2: a government in which a small group exercises control especially for corrupt and selfish purposes; also: a group exercising such control
3: an organization under oligarchic control

Now I hate it when I have to open a book but, I wanna make clear what this is.

I have been saying for the longest time, NO Politician is a good representative.
They are all either democrat or republican, plus beyond that they all get campaign contributions from individuals or corporations. As long as they receive bribes contributions as well as being partisan and not American there can be no true justice or freedom for the constituents.
It is true just because people receive gifts they don’t have to be beholding to a group or individual. However has anyone here been monetarily set then in a short amount of time been flat cash busted? It is very similar to coming off of a drug. You would do just about anything to get the feeling back. Now if all I have to do to get the feeling back is accept more cash, that is not a bad trade. Plus I can still financially take care of the people I love. No harm no foul and I’m not being stingy with my cash so I’m not powerhungry or greedy.
We need to do away with partisans or make a 3 or 4 party system to break down on partisans. We also need to find a way around contributions, maybe a state run advertising system with equal amounts of set funding for campaigns, hell it would be nice to see if they could budget their own cash before they budget ours!
But either way you really don’t need millions of dollars to run a campaign, so we don’t get huge banners and hats and buttons and flyers and Etc.…. They will all be thrown away hours after they are used anyway.
Term limits would help also, I know the president has 8 years max and other seats have an expiration date as well but, anyone who can be a senator for 47 years is wrong in my eyes, it seems like too much power.
Many of the readers on this board will probably just skim past this large entry and don’t sweat it that is what our senators do before they pass bills spending billions of our dollars. Ooh I gotta go Glee is on! Can’t miss my boobtube.
Most people say God Bless Us, but I propose something else. Keep in mind I’m no bible thumper but I prefer God Blessed Us, We just ignored it.

It's typical good cop, bad cop.

The bad cop, Bush, makes us desperate for a savior, and we get the good cop, Obama.

I'll bet the cycle will repeat once we start looking for a deliverance from Obama.

But no one stops to think about the fact that the cops work for the same guy.

I remember here on ATS (and life in general) how so few of us warned that Obama and the MSM were suckering us all. Most people hated Bush so much at the time they could care less for some background (and damning) research on Obama, as long as he wasn't a Bush. Better yet he is black and it would be racist thinking a black politician would be just as corrupt as a white one.

Well now there are people who actually miss Bush. There are Republicans winning in elections that no Republican should have a chance at winning because of the outright fear and buyers remorse that is Obama. The elites are playing us like fools.

That's a great Jefferson quote and it's been making the rounds via email of late. I received a copy this very week. And by this quote Jefferson seems to have been prescient but in fact he was just an insider with inside information. He was privy to the fact that the colonies had never won their freedom, the British rule just went underground. How could you get people treated akin to slaves to explore, develop and essentially mine the North American continent with fervor and speed? You could not and TPTB at that time knew it. They, the European bankers, the Rothschilds, in fact gave the Americans the outward semblance of freedom in order to get us to conquer the continent for them.

The free nation ruse is coming to an end as you can now see that the international bankers are reeling us back in. We have owed them from revolutionary times. We have always been in debt and never close to being truly free. Jefferson and the other "founding fathers" knew this and benefited from it. They were wealthy plantation owners that were never wounded or died in the battle for freedom. They sold us out for personal gain. That Jefferson had pangs of guilt and spouted off these sporadic words of warning does not make him any better or wiser than the rest. For instance he well knew the evils of slavery and yet kept slaves. Not so enlightened my friends.

If you just for a moment consider that the "founding fathers" were not in the least bit fatherly to our newly formed republic, it takes very little imagination to see our current representatives are owned by oil companies and banking interests. Our country has been run by one party for a very long time. The republicans and democrats are owned by the same international bankers. The last instant we stood a chance at breaking away was during the presidency of Andrew Jackson. And it was barely an instant.

These two excerpts from the Wikipedia biography of Andrew Jackson.

The first on the Federal debt:

In 1835, Jackson managed to reduce the federal debt to only $33,733.05, the lowest it had been since the first fiscal year of 1791.[26] President Jackson is the only president in United States history to have paid off the national debt. However, this accomplishment was short lived. A severe depression from 1837 to 1844 caused a tenfold increase in national debt within its first year.

The second on his opposition to the National Bank:

The Second Bank of the United States was authorized for a twenty year period during James Madison's tenure in 1816. As President, Jackson worked to rescind the bank's federal charter. In Jackson's veto message (written by George Bancroft), the bank needed to be abolished because:

* It concentrated the nation's financial strength in a single institution.
* It exposed the government to control by foreign interests.
* It served mainly to make the rich richer.
* It exercised too much control over members of Congress.
* It favored northeastern states over southern and western states.

Following Jefferson, Jackson supported an "agricultural republic" and felt the Bank improved the fortunes of an "elite circle" of commercial and industrial entrepreneurs at the expense of farmers and laborers. After a titanic struggle, Jackson succeeded in destroying the Bank by vetoing its 1832 re-charter by Congress and by withdrawing U.S. funds in 1833.

Jackson was on to the international bankers but he was after all just one man. The few advances he made toward our national sovereignty were quickly swamped and the debt reestablished as the article states "tenfold". Jackson was also not the most enlightened of men owning his own army of slaves. He obviously got many things wrong in life but he left us a few glaring hints at what has controlled this nation from the shadows from the very outset.

Bush, Clinton, Bush and now Obama. Just the most recent in a 235 year line of bag-men for the international bankers. Despite any superficial "D" or "R", these men play for the same team. And it's not the home team.

Another person who is not fully informed, its ok neither am I. but I can help with a couple of points.
Teabag is a thing you would do to someone you either Hate or Love tremendously.
Tea Party is a life choice or group of people that care deeply about the direction this nation goes, it really does matter.
We know Obama did not receive 14.726 billion dollars from the Illuminati, that was pointed out by another poster before you. He got a few thousand, and there are limits to what can be donated to politicians.
However all of the inaction and or impotence regarding the defense of these United States by our elected officials would suggest they are protecting friends or are just blatantly ignorant.
Let’s all infight, the PTB likes it that way.
Sorry bout spouting about but I really do believe in what the Tea Party is trying here. It may not be perfect but the direction is a lot better than we have been traveling.
God Blessed Us, we just ignored it.

For me it has taken awhile to come to grips with the fact that I did nothing but vote another Bush into office. Thinking back to the night of his election, and the great victory many of us hoped for... yes, I can see where the masses held on to their hope that obama was going to be different. But he's just a man. Not a messiah. Not a mover or shaker. He's done nothing but go back on his word.

And for me, a man who does not care for his environment, is a man I can't respect.

From Here-Open Secrets

Coded $284,930,288 (73%)
Uncoded $103,353,467 (27%)
Total $388,283,755

Female 42.2% 140068 $145,907,470
Male 57.8% 179638 $199,743,442
Total $345,650,912

Individual contributions $656,357,572 88% (Notice above comparatively)
PAC contributions $1,830 0%
Candidate self-financing $0 0%
Federal Funds $0 0%
Other $88,626,223 12%

I have said this before and I will say it again. Look at the total numbers folks for ol Transparent Barry. There is a lower limit number where a politician (sleaze ball) does not have to say where the money came from. It is like $200.

ol Sleaze Ball Barry has some interesting numbers in this category. At least McCain released EVERY donation, be it below the threshold or not.

Take a good look at ol Sleaze Ball Barry's numbers.

Obama declined public financing and the spending limits that came with it, making him the first major-party candidate since the system was created to reject taxpayers' money for the general election.

From this link-Campaign Finance Institute Press Release

We know less about people who stayed at $200 or below because $201 is the trigger for FEC disclosure. Obama's staff says that more than 3 million people contributed to his campaign. We cannot verify this number independently but we consider it to be plausible. Since about $156 million of Obama's funds as of Oct. 15 had come from donors whose contributions had not broken the $200 disclosure threshold (see Table 1), accepting the staff's statement (and subtracting the number of disclosed donors) would mean that an estimated 2.5 million undisclosed donors gave a cumulative average of about $62 each. This figure is consistent with the amount CFI has calculated for the typical undisclosed donor in past elections and is also consistent with survey research. Obama's innovation would not be in the amount he raised from each small donor, but in the number of such people he was able to reach. His 2.5 million small donors would be in the same general range as CFI's published estimate for the number of small donors who gave to all candidates combined in 2004 (anywhere from 2.0 to 2.8 million).

Conclusion-ol Sleaze Ball Barry could have gotten money from the Queen of England for all we know. Because the threshold for disclosure was used to hide a HUGE quantity of ol Sleaze Ball Barry's donations.
