BREAKING: We Have Elena Kagan's College Thesis

www.redstate.com

“Radicals have often succumbed to the devastating bane of sectarianism; it is easier, after all to fight one’s fellows than it is to battle an entrenched and powerful foe. Yet if history of Local New York shows anything, it is that American radicals cannot afford to become their own worst enemies. In unity lies their only hope.”

Now we have thesis that explains more about the stance Elena Kagan has in politics. This "would be" SCOTUS has America in its cross-hairs for not allowing socialism to prosper. She consistently through out her thesis mentions about how sad it was in the past that socialism was almost phased out. She goes on to say that radical forces must unite for the common benefit that socialism provides.

Man this nation is being set up for nose dive. The Constitution will not survive any more with a SCOTUS like this to tip the balance, The POTUS and the dems are sleeping with the enemy and do not care about the State of Union.

It is very clear that she is a very intelligent and patriotic person who is a good choice for the court. So far I can find nothing corrupt about her at all. I tried but she has a good record.

I agree. Obviously the right has been doing it's best to smear her rep, case in point the Wall street journal use of a pic showing Kagan playing softball, then another of Murdoch's yellow rags picking up that same pic and slying implying she's a dyke. (For the record she is not).

But how anyone can get to "Kagan is promoting socialism" (the right's latest bogeyman) from her thesis is beyond me, having read through it she seems to be a very astute observer of the human condition and political forces in general.

Of course linking to "redstate" revealed the bias in this post right off.

That's a good one.

Maybe they're taking things out of context to promote their own spin on her political beliefs.

Oh right "REDSTATE", its not as credible as Huffington Post or the corrupt New York Times. Give it a break.

If you fail to see how many times in her thesis she bemoans the fall of socialism and socialism unions especially after WWI, then you are not reading her thesis...but merely supporting someone who the POTUS tells you to support.

From the facts that I have gathered I don't think that Kagan is qualified or fit to have this position. She supports socialism, she is against free speech, and the second amendment, and she has never been a judge. So she is out in my book.

You are right...this nation is being set up for a nose dive...but what are we or can we do about it? We (as a whole, not individually) voted these morons in...now we have to live with it until we have the chance to vote them out...and even then, it may be too late.

This must be the sickest post I've read on ATS in a while... or it's good sarcasm...

Please let it be sarcasm!

EDIT : It seems that frankensence thinks alike and it's not sarcasm... SICK.

That witch is bad news all around. She's against the constitution...so I guess that gives her A++ to be on the supreme court according to many in America.

Yes, I read this last night.

She is a self avowed socialist. A huge hit for the Supreme Court, she will shine in all her glory!

I am so excited, I can't wait to see her sworn in, she is a huge asset.

Wow, so it's "sick" that I can form my own opinion without right-wing hate and fear-mongering trying it's best to mislead? If Bush had nominated Kagan the right would be congratulating itself on finding a moderate candidate, but then again, the right loves a SCOTUS like Roberts who sold us out to corporate interests. The very thing they claim to be against.

You and others like you & me can do something. We need to make sure we get out there and get involved. This November is the turning point to all of this and more. Every local, city, state election has a huge affect on our daily lives. Just look at city, local, state officials voting on behalf of us citizens to organize a ban against AZ when majority of us support AZ.

Every election counts, no longer do we remain silent.

I went looking for something that she can be attacked by the right on and so far there is nothing. We know the right is crumbling so they are in crisis mode looking for anything to bash Kagan for. So far they cannot find anything to bash her for just like they cannot find anything to bash Obama on.

If the right wing wants to finally win an election and not get their butt kicked they better show some better leadership than what I see.

You can guarantee the massive crowds who voted for Obama will be back and in mass.

It will be tough for the right to finally get on track.

Great in theory but who you gonna vote for, which party?
US may end up in the same boat as the UK.
Imagine a Dem/Rep combined Goverment (assumming indepedents dont win majority)
Then there will be no opposition and they can blame inhouse bickering for bad decisions. Scarey and possible.

Are you even paying attention to what you are saying? Attacks on the First Amendment is not a Right or Left issue, unless you readily wish to have your Freedom of Speech revoked and be punished for any dissent.

As far her "Cry-for-Socialism" thesis goes, the so called right did not WRITE it. But for you socialism is okay as you would prefer to be on the teet of the government for the rest of your life.

Taking away freedom is not American and I prefer keeping the constitution and not doing what AZ is doing.

AZ is the enemy of the Bill of Rights
