I think this place is a joke because people post without bothering to do any research, learn any facts, or read anything on ANYTHING before posting..


It really makes it hard to take this place seriously when there is such rampant ignorance plaguing the forums.. Ironic that the motto around here is to deny it.. Perhaps the best way to do that is log off and read a damn book (and not a fiction one).

LOL, I didn't even read this post but yeah the guy has a point. We are becoming slaves who are not allowed to take our own initiative anymore. It is immoral for a society to do this to its people, period. And anyone who cares about their neighbors, themselves, their friends, their families or the people will have to take this side. The only people that should logically like what is going on are those doing the power play. Democracts and liberals should remember their roots... the people.

Do you want to go back into working in factories as slaves getting barely enough money to buy cheap pizzas at Wal-Mart and go back to the apartment you rent with five other people, turn on the TV and watch the required brainwashing for the day? Is this what liberalism's vision for a better America has become? Where is the party of the people? Do you know what's worse than being slaves? Being slaves and thinking that it's your duty.

Is it time for revolution? No. There is too much speculation going on. It is somewhat possible that Obama and his cronies will pull out a health care bill that will actually give better health insurance to the masses, save the economy, and whatever else they promised and that the Repubs are spinning a story that doesn't exist.

Basically, in my opinion, one of the best things to do is let the Obama and cronies power play go all the way in order to show the world its true form. Then, when it falls, possibly under its own corrupt weight, there will be no doubt what it stood for. However, at this point, I start to wonder how dumb people are, how much they will tolerate and still worship the guy, I mean... I can't actually think of anything he could do, no matter how horrible, that his followers would actually criticize.

so glenn beck lies through his teeth for money, including lying to americans trying to get them to buy gold while getting money from the biggest company in the US that buys it...and I'm supposed to take this seriously?

Too bad the right wing is so fragmented, and represented by complete frauds and cynics.. Maybe republicans could piece together some real complaints, into an actual list, which could be critically analysed.. I think most of the left would probably agree with what the non-crazy section of the right wants changed..

They have to bypass their republican masters, in order to do that, though.. seems like the tea party was a good attempt at it, but I really doubt anything will come of it.

Kaytagg, I think you are getting to the root of the problem. And not just read one side, read both sides of a discussion. And read intellectually stimulating material, not just emotionally stimulating material whose authors write opinions.

Heck, it used to be that to be a debater, you had to be able to argue BOTH sides; in other words, to argue effectively, you had to know the good/bad points of both sides.

An example. I have good, decent, highly educated immediate family/in-laws/colleagues who for three decades now have read either only what their church said to read, then watched only Fox News, or listened to only right wing radio commentators.

Most family/in-laws refuse to even discuss any other viewpoint; to them, you're either going to Hell anyway or you're just wrong, period. Colleagues have been more open for discussion, conducted civilly.

In fact, with one person recently, I was able to share some facts with him that brought us to common agreement; I admit, though, my surprise at his lack of knowledge for such an intelligent person (sadly an American phenomena), yet our discussion did not degrade into name-calling or rudeness.

I guess, bottom line...as was pointed out in Someone336's prior post, this was already written about last year.

The reaction by those who criticize ATS because they are speaking of this and considering the information speaks volumes about why people are here.

Some of you must begin (sooner rather than later) to accept that the source of the OP is a legitimate element of the story. It is clear that bias is injected into nearly everything the media PRODUCES for PROFIT. Similarly, to deny the information merits examination seems an utterly useless stand and may even gravitate towards the wreckless.

If there is more information relevant to the OP - SHARE IT. If the information in the OP is incorrect - SHOW IT.

I think it is safe to say that no one gives a hoot about how you 'feel' about a person when we are not talking about that person. This isn't about Glen Beck, nor President Obama, nor Al Gore, nor any other celebrity - it is about institutionalized corruption and entrenched racketeering.

Coming onto a thread to rant about your emotional take on any individual or group of individuals is neither productive nor useful - assuming we all agree that to know more is better than to know less.

Facts are stubborn things, despite all the ancilliary emotions and platitudes, the preconceptions and honorable desires. Facts remain, some can muster the personal flexibility to ignorantly dance around them, but they remain for all to see. Ignore the dance, listen to the music.

I wish Mr. Beck had been reviewing the ATS website many months ago, when people were talking about this subject. It may have persuaded him that his "news" and "shocking" discovery were neither "new", "shocking", nor HIS discovery at all. And I firmly contend that it is not confined to people of a particular political club. It is a function of the political machinery which is a SINGLE entity... The so-called two-party system has been taking turns feeding off the "human resources" of this nation since it's moral usurpation at the turn of the 20th century. Ironically, the parasitical relationship is nothing more than a 'reward' to the political elite for conforming to the supranational bank cartel's "vision" of how our world is to work....
