IA Lawmaker Recommends Microchipping Immigrants

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports he then continued, "I can microchip my dog so I can find it. Why can't I microchip an illegal?"

Seems as if the Government might be getting their way by slowly introducing microchip technologies into our every day lives. Big brother is a live and well, even though there may be some reason's and situations for microchip implants that would have some merit, I personally believe the good Senator from Iowa may have stuck his foot in his mouth with this one.
And another note "Do you think this is a feasible and affordable answer to the immigration situation?"

Is this a joke? Seriously!

What an idiot... apart from the mountain of ethical and moral connotations behind this idiots statement the things that highlights this man stupidity for me is...

"I can microchip my dog so I can find it. Why can't I microchip an illegal?"

Err... Because, the very nature of being an illegal means you DO NOT know where they are!!!!

If you know where they are, then they would be deported and therefore you would have no need to chip them!!!

What an idiot...

How anyone could even consider mentioning the treatment of human beings in the same breath as that of Dog control is just disgusting!!!

I have an idea Mr Senator... why not give them a special badge and a Tattoo with an identification number on the forearm... Dam, you could even put them into "labour camps"

No doubt this is some really harsh and outlandish actions. I personally think that the people that are put in office, such as our good Senator here are the ones that should be getting the chip implants. Hell, they are in more control of what is taking place in all of our lives than the immigrants, whether they be illegals or situated commoner.
And I agree Muckster, comparing a tracking device for a dog to the equivalent of humanbeing, it is just wrong.

You just need to take away the incentive to come to America for illegals if that's what the Government really wants to do. Whats the point in tracking anyone this way. I like fairly priced produce!

This is exactly the point in which things can get out of hand. No person, whether a criminal or not, should be treated like an animal. Most certainly, not in the United States.

This is an outlandish and completely ignorant remark, and it is people like this that tarnish the entire idea of illegal immigration enforcement.

First, since when is a congressional candidate a "Lawmaker"?

Second, I believe he just assured himself a loss in that race.

Ah so i was right. There was something behind this law. Makes perfect sense. Start with them and then the rest of us will follow.

Whoever thinks this action has merit, you are crazy!!!!

Just wait and see. Honestly, your heads are up your butts sometimes.

Why dont you blame the Federal Government????

Dear the moron from IA is an idiot a mentally retarded one.

Illegals coming from the border with Mexico do not need to be microchip if they are not allowed to come across the border illegally.

I don't get to whom moronic ideals like this will appeal.

I tell you DG, our nation is been run by, dirty, sell out, moronic, greedy bastards.

Ok, this is going too far. Punish the legal immigrants to get the illegals? Microchipping? I'm not a #ing dog!!!

Geez I hope I raise enough money to get my citizenship soon before these assholes start trying to make me get a chip.

That is exactly the thing this country doesn't need right now, another money machine to start roaring to life with nothing more than a half witted idea. Doing something such as this wouldn't come with out some kind of financial ramification that is for sure, taxes and the like are on their hike up hill. Sad thing is that we the general public have to remain calm and collected whilst the entiriety of our government betrays us one by one with really no accointability for them to look forward to.
Though I do believe this Senator is probably squirming after his statement.

And that opinion right there is why I keep coming to the ATS forums!!

We are the worlds melting pot, as they have said for centuries, but why all the breaks on for more population.
Granted, there are those out there that wish us ill will, but for the most part, Timothy McVeigh wasn't Spanish, Was he? LOL

Seems as if we have some real winners holding power in offices that even bewilder them selves!!LOL..
But, if the back room closed door deals are being made for scenario's such as this cats statement, it will become obvious with in the year.

With all the negativity that our gov. has been conjuring up the last year and a half, it has become evident that once one is in office, that individual can ecspect some seriious "Changes" to be coming!!
With out being able to defend ones family that is of the Hispanic origin's, this is a varitable slap in the face...

Generally, the Americans I have come to know and respect are people that find these kind of indecent ideas as nothing more than big governm, ent spending cover up and charades of a much bigger nature. They are going to those places seemingly though.
Get your Paper's my friend and shove it in their faces when they are in your posession, there will be more to follow you, and they are probably thinking the same way if they knew how deep the rabbit hole may go....

Dont worry, they dont have to chip the legal citizens. Your cards are chipped, your cell phone is chipped. If you have a newer car, your car probably is too. Anyone using their actual identity and any modern conveniences is easy to locate if they want to.
