Can't remember those stratocumulus clouds when I was a young child.
Never seen a old paiting where these clouds would be showed like that.
Seen a couple of old black and white movies and can't find them either there.

Stopped a person outside a mall and pointed on the sky where these trails was and asked him if he knew what those are called,
he told me that those clouds was called chemtrails and I got surpriced because he was a tourist.

When was the first time these stratocumulus clouds was seen.?

I tell ya what, I was amazed yesterday to overhear a conversation at work, where a couple of people were discussing the lack of chemtrails in the sky during the time the planes were grounded last week.

BTW, isn't it amazing that the planes are back in the sky and guess what... The skies are overcast and it's a lot cooler than it was.

Could be a coicidence, but it seems a little strange to me.

ETA: Where the hell is OzWeatherman? He's usually well hot on these type of threads.

I'm from Scandinavia and you are totally right about the grounded planes,
all I can say that the weather had been really nice those days while it was warmer and I could not spot any chemtrails.
The same day that planes started to fly again, was the same day that chemtrails was seen again.

When was the first time these so called stratocumulus clouds was seen.?

Beautiful pictures - it's amazing what you can see in the sky.

One of the cloud formations reminded me of this 'Hubble' picture. (I've lifted it from Karl 12's 'Post your favourite nature pic' thread on BTS):

They're surely related

quick thought for everyone, do you believe any creation that comes from man, such as ideas, inspirations, have only come from what we have absently seen, most people spend their days not even given the skies a single look, but what do we know, what if every idea we all have comes from what we unknowingly see around us?

Frep.

Wow thanks for posting these incredible images!
Its hard to believe that all of them are real because they are so spectacular, I'd love to see more of the worm-like clouds from the first few pics.

Thought Id add a couple more from my comp that inspired the thread, however these came from random places round the internet so I dont know what all of them are called or how credible the actual picture is.

This first one is very intersting however I cant find the name of it.
[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/d5a5687eaed6.jpg[/atsimg]
The file name on this one says "roll cloud over uraguay"

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/76f4b9842fdd.jpg[/atsimg]
This one is very stange, rather unatural looking, almost like the result of a drunk pilot. In fact even conventional aircraft doesnt sound like a good explanation.

Here in the mountains of New Mexico we see strange clouds all the time,
chem trails and northern lights also.

Some of the better pictures can be seen at watchrepairworld.com/gallery.htm

The weather here is crazy lately, Monday this week 80, today 18 and snow.

I wish the PTB make up their mind about what kind of weather we are going to have

Nice pictures OP!.

If I stepped outside and saw those "Mammatus" cloud formations, I think I'd have to go back inside my house and change my underwear

Damn those are freaky looking to me for some reason.

I love the lenticular clouds. I have theories though, a friend of mine is into meteorology and recognizes anomaly clouds from natural clouds. If anyone has seen David Sereda's theory (via psychedlicadventure.blogspot.com) on UFO propulsion in which it mimics the energy of the galaxy (pulsating spiral) one can argue that those clouds can be UFOs because in order for an object to appear cloud-like or invisible, the object the light around the object making it visible to the naked eye becomes light that we cannot see via the naked eye and when its transitioning between visible light and non visible light it becomes cloud like. Just a thought...

Apologies before hand if I don't make sense, you really ought to see the video first..
video.google.com...

But nonetheless the rest of these photo are impressive.

Thats weird because when I type stratocumulus in google pics then another pattern of clouds pops up,
when I go to my countrys home page for weather then it don't look like what it is showed in this thread,
also the page where it was linked from don't have a good system as I can find morning glory, storm roll etc in the stratocumulus section.
No wondering why people getting confused.

Here is a nice picture from the site under the stratocumulus section,
well if you like the x spot that is getting common world wide..

A circle of clouds forms a ring of fire above the Hungarian countryside as the sun sets after a day of torrential rain and hail storms which brought havoc to the country and much of central Europe.

Thanks for posting these pics... was feeling quite depressed at the sheer volume of doom and gloom threads on the 'recent' posts section.

Thanks for the positive!

Just a quick question... Do you think that any of them may be photoshopped? or touched up?

A couple of them look surreal.

cheers
