It's used for many pain medications that ill people rely on, it would be a shame to eliminate it.

Indeed, try breaking a few bones and not having opiates to relieve the pain.

People will always seek out means of escape...and unless you want to ban kava, datura, hops, barley, cactus, mushroom etc etc et al...the issues with the major drugs we have today will still abide..just the names of the drugs will change.

Exactly. This is why the answer to the OP is: No, the world would not be a better place without natural drugs.

They are plants after all, they are part of our environment and in my opinion they're to be taken advantage of(but only in a sensible way.

Why not just keep all of the things mentioned in your title and just get rid of alcohol and man made religion instead.


IMO these two things cause way more trouble than all of your selections combined.
