Everyone meet Mr. Tito, interesting speech.

Puerto Ricans @ Tea Party

Though these representations of communities others than the one highlighted by MSM will go unnoticed by those will continue to vilify this honest movement.

Hey can you actually find a video where those congressman while walking up to the Capitol building got these slurs yelled at. I mean the videos of them walking toward the building, not afterward when they came out and the MSM had its plants trying to paint the TEA party people.

Plus your video reeks of hateful bigotry in the voice over the video, and you yourself have shown your racist side.

The reason for the video is to show the signs at the TPM rallies, I couldn't care less about the geico dude's feud with the TPM.

You may call me racist if it makes you feel better, it doesn't change what it is.

Ah, I see you didn't get the message about the "crashtheteaparties.com". I think there are few threads about the provocateurs that had been planted to paint the movement to what the MSM portrays it as.

How about I give you a lesson in history? Bare with it as there might be some Gray Matter Stigma involved.

You are getting too defensive ...

The title of this thread is "Tea Party Racism" and the simple fact that I pointed out is that there is some. Not that there's no hate from the other side. I accept that sans the history lesson for I see these kind of demonstrations here in DC on a daily basis.

Btw, speaking of TPM rallies, did you know that I covered one for ATS: www.abovetopsecret.com... If you take the time to read the OP and my posts in that thread you will find my reporting rather objective to the day's events.

But we have to call things as they are ... so are there racists elements in the TPM? Yes there a few. Are there other kinds of hate expressed from the other side? Of course. After all both sides share the same coin.

But one cannot put binders on and say something doesn't exist when it does, no matter what the other side is doing ... both should be exposed for their transgressions.

Make sense?

It was you that initiated the partisan pandering and then confirming it by "it is what it is".

Don't mind my post with evidence support as a defensive stance, just showing what you seem to be showing. Only I am putting it in the context as per the theme of the thread.

I don't think partisanship means what you think it means.
Noting things for what they are as opposed to how one wishes them to be is the precise opposite of partisanship.

Which would be well and good if your thread title was the left is just as racist and/or hateful as the right which I would agree with.

But instead of admitting the obvious, namely that some elements of the TPM are racist, you redirect your own thread premise to justify one objectionable behavior with another ... as if two wrongs make a right.

I think the racism stuff is mostly smears by people who can't think of better arguments. I don't believe they are any more racist than the general population from what I've seen, sure there is a percentage who are, but it doesn't seem to be a majority or even near.

Something I really dislike though is this line of reasoning that because there aren't many non-whites in this group, that makes them racist.

It seems like a rather fallacious argument. By those standards, my soccer team is racist, my local doctors surgery is racist, my school was racist, etc. But they aren't, it's just a function of the demographics.

America is a mostly white country it seems, and general conservatism seems to have more whites, so I'd expect these groups to fit into that.

It's a good way to tell who the real honest left are though, you can spot them by the fact they are just making arguments against the tea party based on economics, political theory, etc, rather than name calling.

Well I could care less what race a Tea person is -

I do care if someone regards Palin's rhetoric as substantive

Anyhow, I think it is simply a way to WASH the GOP's sins away, without having to do any work or change any long held ideas. I am sure the people believe they are being useful, but practically I think their use is for the elephant and her pool of politicians.

Its a matter of time before a Make it Happen incident occurs or a Let it happen occurs . A couple of useful moronic white supremacist will paint the Tea parties or any one who hates the nanny state as anti government racist .
I believe there are some racist at the Tea Parties , but they doesn't represent the greater majority of the tea party members.
It could be argued that Obama belonged with a church with Black Supremacist values . Any here saw the footage/photo of Mechelle Obama sitting beside Luis Faracon in church .

As per your post I wholeheartedly disagree with you. The reason they didn't answer anything regarding tax's because they were specifically answering the questions painting the TEA Party Members as Racists.

Calling names is what you and others like to have resorted too, it hasn't gotten you or your cause any further.

Maybe you should go back and rewatch the video...many of them stated why they were out there and what the TEA (TAXED...) Party stands for...none of them said taxes. I heard socialism, take our country back, freedom, american values, etc.

This has been the Tea Party (The Fox News hijacked Tea Party) problem from the start....none of them have a clue what they stand for.

That's because it's a movement of individuals and individuals believe different things and have different views. What you're describing is collectivism, something big government likes because all the sheep follow along one line. That's what socialism is, it's the root of fascism and communisim as well. All follow the one.

Thanks, but no thanks. It seems you believe in collectivism, as you continuously defend it.

the root of authoritarianism i.e Stalin, Hilter, Pot, Mussolini is - patriotism - without a book you have no religion, without the people you have no church... I.E Hitler could not have done anything without his flag, nationality and shared ideas. That you and so many intelligent members consistently miss this point is troublesome for me.

the rise of the Nazi's and Communists was based upon cultivating individuals anger and evoking anger, in order to "get our country back to it former glory"... All of these dictators power was thru the flag and the PEOPLE
who were susceptible to patriot platitudes, these masses provided the true power.

With all due respect, I fear much of the TP membership is susceptible to potential herding as individuals. Many of you you feel your ideas are free from flaw, that your ideas are unquestionably virgin, yet this atmosphere is EXACTLY the kind that breeds
dictators. Provided TTPM was not so tied to a TV station and believing of any rhetoric,
I would not be worried.

I.E Ron Paul himself just came out a stated Obama's policies are corporatist in nature, nearly the opposite of socialism, yet I see the signs and the rhetoric here... To be SO wrong, unquestioning and un analytical of the facts adds to my worry... To mis categorize the threat and do so blindly...

I don't expect many of you to really wake up, America IS free because the constant push and pull of the left and right keeps things ever changing, therefore it is free from stagnation and tyranny.

I believe tyranny is tyranny and it works the same in every country under any system. Wars for profit, holding citizens without trial, precrime policies, deficit spending so large that it will force massive and crippling taxes on everyone. We have a network of militaristic tyranny being imposed on us today, we've had it a long time, and here we are many of us arguing which flavor of tyranny would work best.

I choose individualism. Individual Liberty-Individual Resposibility-A government that PROTECTS the rights of the people rather than findig ways to circumvent them. We need real liberty. I don't need to be taken care of, and I don't need to be forced into charity.
