It was an wonderful experience, i still wonder if it was a ufo though, it went way to fast, i did heard a sonic boom sound.

Awesome!! If it just about hit your building though go and find some remains of it. Could be worth money and if your not into that it would be a cool keepsake and story to tell everyone.

Make sure it doesn't have any green stuff on it though or else it will turn you to grass.
Sorry, bad joke.

You should go find the crash site and recover the meteor, people and scientific organisations pay alot of money for meteor rocks and they pay by the gram!

Shame you got no pics of it though

I'm in Ontario too. Was it like a fireball with colour... red, for instance?

I've seen one a few years ago that I swore must have hit the ground, but never heard a peep in any local papers or tv news reports. More than likely, it wound up in Labrador.

Check out local news reports.

So it was blue with a darker blue core ?

And can you really tell the difference between a military and civvy helicopter when they generally all sound the same apart from chinooks which have a very distinct sound ?

Someone beat me to it, but I'll reiterate. If it's that close, go find some hunks of the thing if you can. If you know where it actually landed. A good sized piece can go for thousands of dollars.

There are people that make very good livings by finding pieces of old meteors that have fallen. They know where to look and know their business, so know when they've found even meteors that are thousands or millions of years old. Some of these meteor hunters are millionaires. If you know where this one is, totally go for it. You could make some good cash.

If a meteor appears to be close, you can bet your bottom dollar that it's not.

It's a common feature of bright meteors and fireballs, that they look closer than they are, and people nearly always guage the distance WRONG.

Finding meteorites requires studying witness reports and footage/photographs, and working out the flight path. Chances are, if it was apparently close, it'll be at least 10-20 km away from you.

By the way, the first meteorite has already been found.
