WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama laid out a nightmare scenario on Tuesday — a terrorist with atomic bomb materials no bigger than an apple who could launch an attack killing hundreds of thousands of people.

In doing so, Obama skimped on details that make that kind of attack a more remote danger than he implied in his brief opening remarks to more than 40 world leaders, even as he got the broad picture right.

The gathering, called by Obama, was intended to focus global attention on the problem of nuclear materials that could fall into the wrong hands

OBAMA: Said nuclear materials that could be stolen or sold for use as a weapon exist in dozens of nations.

THE FACTS: Correct. Arms control experts count roughly 40 nations with either weapons stocks or other nuclear facilities or material that could be misused. In most cases, however, the material or facilities are under what those nations claim is sufficient control.

OBAMA: Said in comparing today's threat to that during the Cold War: "The risk of a nuclear confrontation between nations has gone down, but the risk of nuclear attack has gone up."

THE FACTS: Yes, the bleak Cold War vision of mutual annihilation is all but gone now, and in its place is a new kind of risk. But linking the two, as he did, implies that the outcome from both scenarios is comparable.

Sounds like he embellished a little if you ask me. More false flagging? Exaggerating for his own agenda?
Or just failure to fully read the scripts given to him by his speech writers?

Well, the biggest threat would be not soo much a actual bomb/icbm, but a dirty bomb by some stolen uranium duct taped to a delivery system...that would do far more damage to an area in regards to cleanup and whatnot.

It sounds as though he wants us to feel "afraid".

Why?

The answer is simple. If we are afraid, we are easy to control. You're constantly on the watch for danger and therefore more likely to listen and act upon what you are told to do by "authority figures". It's an age old trick that has been used for centuries.

Worse, is the implication that he is preparing us for the event actually happening.

If it does, then he and others can jump up and down on television shouting "Al-Qaeda, Al-Qaeda, Al-Qaeda". Then the sheep will hear this, and support yet more wars of aggression, and theft of sovereign territory.

It's sad, but true.

Now is the time for us at ATS to educate the people around us in our daily lives.

Set yourself a task today. This task is to talk to at least one person tomorrow about this problem. Wake up at least one person per week. Make this your mission and we'll be okay...

Good luck.

I believe that the thought of one of these going off by you or your loved ones is scary enough. I don't think anything he added has made them sound 'more scary' then everyone already knows they are.

I do believe he laid out a worst case scenario which will probably not happen. Would I be surprised if it did though, no.

Maybe through "talking points" TPTB are greasing up America for a false flag nuclear event. A dirty bomb or radiological device.

Aren't they running some generally unannounced drills like this in the US starting shortly?

TPTB are still moaning about Obama winning the election..McCain was supposed to continue on with the drumbeat fear mongering...

This sounds like a anti-influence of such powers for future times. remember, Obama has no ties to the old bush/clinton/reagen/etc factions traditionally associated with masonic illuminati.

Personally, I am starting to believe that the old powers are quickly losing grip..now their hopes are in iran/israel to stir up enough crap and pressure the eastern bloc to destablize so the movements will slow down until they get get another shill back in....however, they are getting bloody noses left and right as of late...the large corporations are losing their grip (even though the US did just make them a person as of late)...

I however dont believe Obama can create enough of a dent to secure a longterm release from the slavery...its too engrained and powerful for any administration to handle...and even if not, the people are so entrenched with the programming that too many fast moves will freak out the sheep.
