The problem is that republicans and teabaggers alike keep on repeating talking points that are obvious lies. Government sponsored abortion, death panels, mandatory microchips, and the list goes on...every single one of those points they brought up has been proven a lie.

They use those lies because they know they'll hit emotions in people...and it doesn't really matter if they're true or not, because if you repeat it often enough, people will start repeating it too. And ATS shows this nicely. Time and again we have to hear about the HCB and those mandatory microchips...when it's verifiable that THERE ARE NO MICROCHIPS!!

Don't be a political puppet, do your research, and form your own opinion based on FACTS and not empty talking points.

And yeah, the US will CHANGE, but not break up. They have to adapt, and not only politically. They were able to gain a HUGE advantage after WW2 when almost all but their industry was destroyed due to the war...but other nations have been catching up economically, and it's time the US start realizing that the US$ and their power has to be shared if they wanna continue to be successful. Obviously the neocons don't like that, because they still think they got the bestest country in the world, and they don't need the international community

Apparently you are not familiar with TAXATION!!! Each one of us that works our hands to the bone to provide for our families ARE victimized by social engineering and the taxation used to pay for it.

A great man, his nam was Benjamin Franklin (Ever hear of him?) stated, rather succinctly I should add, "When the people realize that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the Republic." For decades politicians have promised increased social spending so that they could, in fact, buy votes from those constituents that felt entitled to receive said benefits. Now the productive members of society have over 1/2 of their earnings STOLEN by the politicians so that they may go out and buy voting blocks with the money. And somehow you don't see it???

The reason that socialism fails everywhere it has been tried is because eventually you run out of other people's money! At that point, a country either becomes communist or it goes broke and collapses. Personally, I wouldn't choose to live in either.

I'm not too worried.
If California had to become Sovereign, It would have the 7th or 8th largest economy in the world.

That article is so full of straw men that I swear I saw Dorothy peaking her head out... I mean "liberal ruling elites"? Give me a break.

This is another bunch of hot air that conveniently ignores the facts. Like the fact that capitalist health care is the world's most expensive.

The Washington Times is owned by the Moon cult.
Ex-Federal-Convict "rev" moon's "big secret" is that HE is the 2nd coming...

Ya'll knew this right?

This would probably be a good thing in international terms . Seperate little autocracies , plutocracies and theocracies all kind of fighting out for their chunk of land and influence . It would give the world a breather from incessant interference and intervention for awhile . I think that is what they need.
