Report: U.S. will 'consider abstaining' if UN votes on East Jerusalem

Given the level of Rhetoric on the Israeli side of the fence, do you feel that if the US and Britain abstain it would give the hawks inside Israel a stronger position to make their demands for action heard?

Could this lead to the action we all fear, since I can not help but get the feeling that Britain and now a little the US are putting a bit of space between themselves and Israel.. Which for one find very suspicious, given how quiet Britain has gone on sanctions against Iran.
