Death panels? What death panels?
Our health system is designed after the British model. And like them we do have panels that decide what care will be given and how much it will cost. BOARD OF GOVERNORS! In Britain they have bidding wars to find the cheapest care. Elderly suffer in care facilities where no money is allocated for upkeep. No money allocated for elderly depression. No money for pain medicine. You tell me what elderly person would want to stay alive in those conditions.
Take some time and Read what some middle class Brits have said about the care their Mothers and Fathers are getting. I have heard more than one call it A WAR ON THE ELDERLY!
This may never happen here, but my point is no one knows yet and that includes you.

Ummmmmmm. (Raises hand) Kind sir, I read your article which was dated 08/26/09.
I remembered it from LAST YEAR. The incident occurred prior to election.

How is it relevant to current thread?: "Democrats Fear Violent Backlash to Healthcare Legislation."

Sorry, sarcasm dosn't translate well. It was a lame attempt to point out that dems are hypocrites as well. The office manager having to "temper" her opinion after it was found out one of the vandals was a diehard dem. However it appears that it is irrelevant to this discussion as the article is a bit dated.

Isn't that what people did in the first place?

It didn't seem to work.

That's what we liberals did and it seems to have worked. A candidate either wins or loses. Your guy lost in a fair election. The American majority have spoken and you are obviously in the minority. Get used to it.

Why shouldn't they? These people are wackos. And I don't mean Waco. Wait a minute. Yes I do!

These are delusional little Timmy McVie and Unibomber types going stark raving, frothing at the mouth, MAD over a HEALTH CARE BILL!!!

Quiet as mice when Bush gave a tax cut to the wealthy that lost America twice as much money as this bill cost. And you know what? With this bill we are getting something back. These critiques are ignoramus lap dogs protecting their rich masters from chains outside the house.

Believe it or not here is a world full of people who have been trained to think HEALTH CARE is a BAD thing.

These are the same people who think WAR IS A GOOD THING.

I defended the Health Care Bill in a few threads in the past 2 days and all of a sudden I have 3 new foes.

People I don't even know...health care stalkers.

This is a mad dog type bunch we are talking about. I think it began with the gay slurs and the spitting outside congress. I suppose this isn't considered an attack where you come from?

Sarah Palin is a joke too...when we say ATTACK we mean attack with our vote" A lying Christian is a whole lot worse than no Christian at all.

Since were going to adopt the rest of the civilized worlds healthcare system...Are we going to see our survivability rates to disease:

A) Drop to their level.
B) Stay the same.
C) Increase as a direct result contrary to the inefficiencies of socialized medicine.

Bonus question:

What happens when the 20 million or so illegals get amnesty and hop on in addition to the reported 35 million were now going to cover? 55 million not too burdensome?

Innovation and faith, the wind at your back from doing the right thing (not the easy thing, not the short sighted gut instinct for self preservation thing) but the long term consideration of others besides ourselves thing... the right thing... it will have a very positive "synergistic" effect and it will rescue you, and all of us really from these, your biggest fears.

Well if you have not hear the news, Obama is planning to make Medicare the biggest insurance force in the Nation by 2017, see he is going to get away with the public option bloating Medicare at the expenses of the tax payer.

That will include all those working illegals the 24 million poor that will not be able to get into private insurance mandate and those that will be falling behind with the growing unemployment.

But the money to pay for all that is coming out of everybody else pocket.

Let's just wait and see. All you people think you are Nostradamus.
I think you are wrong.
I do not worry about myself because if I look after my brother, my Lord looks after me. You just have to trust me on this.

What are you saving up?
Never save up love or compassion,
my cynical friends or it will be the first thing taken from you.

Oh ye of little faith, and even less truly accurate information.

Faith doesn't pay the bills. This whole " I am my brothers keeper " horse has been beat to death. Sure I am my brothers keeper. Not the government. If I feel the need to help them directly then I will. I will be the judge of that because its my money and I know what I can afford. Now when the government takes it from me and decides to " spread the wealth around " that is not me being my brothers keeper. That is the government buying votes by creating an entitlement system that will lock people in. Voters that will now depend on the government for their very existence. Why would anyone ever vote against the politicians who which the tit that they are sucking from is attached? They never will....You are creating a new European-esque aristocracy right here in the US government and they will NEVER NEVER lose power.

Answer my question.. Is the truth so toxic?

Do I need to lower my childrens survivability chances to disease just so we can raise someone elses? Do I need to lower my childrens survivability chances to disease just so the children of illegals can increase theirs. Everyone else ask yourself the same questions...Does this make sense?

What was the health care about again?

"Are we ready to let another 72,000 more people die? Let 18,000 die or whatever the figure is that anyone comes up with............."

Yeah, lets just pull a number out of our ass, just like any other figure these lying sacks of # come up with. KINDA LIKE JOBS SAVED.

And then listen to Dingle's response.

Trust your government, they are just doing it to CONTROL YOU!

A little "partisan" reminder to all of those individuals out there who are angry and up in arms, suing the government, taking to the streets throwing bricks, shooting guns and drawing racial epithets, all because of this new health care system:

You didn't seem to get that mad when the Supreme Court stopped a legal recount and appointed a new President.

You didn't get that mad when V.P. Cheney allowed Energy company officials to dictate energy policy.

You didn't get that mad when a covert CIA operative got outed.

You didn't get that mad when the Patriot Act got passed taking away many of your freedoms.

You didn't get that mad when we illegally invaded a country that posed no threat to us.

You didn't get that mad when we spent over 600 billion (and counting) on said illegal war.

You didn't get that mad at the Hallibuton cover-up and their no-bid contracts for said illegal war.

You didn't get that mad when gas in Iraq was .14 cents a gallon, yet Halliburton charged the American people the going rate in the U.S. of over $4.00 a gallon to fuel all our military equipment.

You didn't get that mad when over 10 billion dollars just disappeared in Iraq.

You didn't get that mad when you found out we were torturing people.

You didn't get that mad when the government was illegally wiretapping Americans.

You didn't get that mad when we didn't catch Bin Laden.

You didn't get that mad when you saw the horrible conditions at Walter Reed Military Hospital.

You didn't get that mad when we let a major US city, New Orleans, drown (and still could).

You didn't get that mad when we gave a 900 billion tax break to the rich.

You didn't get that mad when the deficit hit the trillion dollar mark.

You finally got mad when the government decided that people in America deserved the right to see a doctor if they are sick. Yes, illegal wars, lies, corruption, torture, stealing your tax dollars to make the rich richer, are all okay with you, but helping other Americans at home...oh hell no!

You say you know we need a new health care system, but you do not like the government telling you that you HAVE to have health insurance or be fined. Why not? You didn't get that mad when they told you that you HAD to have car insurance and gun permits or get fined.

Could that be because insurance would benefit YOU? If someone hits you, and THEY have insurance you know you will be covered.

What is the difference? Would it not be better if everyone HAD to have health insurance so that THEY would be paying the costs for their medical expenses? Our taxpayer costs in the long run might not increase, and likely go down. YOU would not be supplementing the cost to cover those uninsured clogging our emergency rooms and walk-in clinics every minute of every day....because tell me, isn't that what this political issue really boils down to after all, having to pay out of your own pockets to cover the costs of others?  Believe me, you are already paying for it now, with long waits in the ER, and in the cost of your private insurance premiums!!  Who do you think is paying for those un-payed medical bills now?  Those are passed down to you and I.

You are fine with throwing a trillion dollars at an unknown enemy in a far off country, yet you are not willing to pay a single dime to help a senior citizen on a fixed income, a disabled person barely making it on SDI and Medicaid, a single parent neighbor struggling to make ends meet, or just a "down on their luck" American on welfare.

Sounds like partisan hypocrisy plain and simple!

That's because these people absolutely LOVED all those ideas you listed. They so supported those ideas that anyone that was against them were called communists and America Haters.

These people STILL love those ideas and wish they could implement MORE. They want to put more EXTREME Right Wingers into office just so that we can get more of that same thing.

They LOVE Haliburton, they agree with McCain's vote against Al Frankin's anti rape Amendment, because they think it's OK for our tax dollars to pay for a company to hush up gang rapes. They are perfectly FINE with that.

But pass healthcare reforms? GOOD GOD NO! That's too much!
