Pope Benedict was archbishop when priests found guilty of sexual misuse of kids was glossed it over and did not remove the offender, but just moved them to another place where children would be victimis ed again.

I don't know about his brother (also a priest and investigated for sexual misconduct with the viienna boys choir) was a member of Hitler youth.

Pope_ what did he and his brother know?

pedophile priests get recycled back into the church. wtf?
their faces should be posted on a website called "catholic priest pedophiles" and then people should do to them whatever kind of legal torture it takes until the catholic priest pedophiles go mad and commit suicide.

How has this Catholic paedophile scandal situation gone on for so long? Why does the Catholic Church not realise the strength & depth of normal, everyday people's feelings against them-obviously,priests,bishops,etc have totally lost touch with the real world.

Force people into celibate, which is godless and a sin in itself, and this is what you get.

The catholic Church should burn the priest pedophiles at the stake, as the Catholic Church did so freely with the supposed witches...

Why not?

Since those priestly pedophiles are under Pope rule, command them back to Rome, where this could be done legally.

Do it Pope.

At least you'd gain a bit of my respect, and the worlds, if you did...

peace

Apparently the pope is just as guilty as he was complicit in allowing it to continue with full knowledge and warnings from the psychiatrist that handles the most famous case that came to light recently.

Can you please supply a source for this?

Thanks.

"Pope Benedict XVI has been accused of turning a deaf ear to repeated warnings about a pedophiliac priest who was later convicted of carnal violation of theological pupils.

Werner Huth, the psychiatrist tasked with treating the German priest Peter Hullermann, said on Thursday that he had audibly warned the current Pope about the future convict's immorality, The New York Times reported.

Hullermann was convicted child molestation in the Bavarian town of Grafing in 1986; however, he continued working with altar boys until he was suspended of his duties earlier this month, after the church offered its full cooperation.

“I said, 'For God's sake, he desperately has to be kept away from working with children,'” Huth was quoted by the daily as saying. “I was very unhappy about the entire story.”

In 1980, the Pope, the then Archbishop Joseph Ratzinger, ordered Hullermann to be treated in Munich. The notorious clergyman was, among other things, accused of eliciting oral sex from an 11-year-old boy.

He, however, reassumed his duties shortly afterwards. "

From Press TV..link supplied above..it was on the national news and in the papers as well...

From huffington Post

Pope's Brother (a priest) liked to child abuse

Jerome Taylor, The Independent

A series of allegations in Germany and Holland have plunged the Catholic Church into a renewed crisis over how it has dealt with child abuse after it emerged that the Pope's brother ran a renowned choir at the centre of some of the latest claims.

Reports of systematic historical abuse by clergy have surfaced at three schools in the Regensburg diocese in Bavaria. One of them is the much-heralded Regensburger Domspatzen, a thousand-year-old male choir and boarding school, whose choral master for 30 years was the Pope's older brother, Georg Ratzinger.

Monsignor Ratzinger has agreed to testify in any eventual prosecutions - but says that he knew of no abuse. And last night the German Justice Minister, Sabine Leutheusser-Schnarrenberger, joined a growing chorus of politicians in Berlin to criticise the church over its attitude to the investigation, accusing Catholic institutions of a policy of secrecy.

Can you really be too surprised by Pope Palpatine?

I still remember the many people against his ascent to being pope, reading about it on the net from various places.

Not that you can find most of those anymore.

The papal history is wrought with these things, many incidents that many people don't even think about or look at, some worse than many of the things priests are guilty of today.

I still hear about residential schools in public out here, but many of those priests have been dealt with, just not all.
