Remember folks...buy gold...lots of gold.

Not that there is a message behind this...I mean, America is falling, everyone will have to use gold soon...so buy it up now...quick...the major right wingers are saying you need to because of erm...liberals are going to put vchips in money and track you.

btw, dont look at whom are major holders in the gold market...dont look!...and erm...

Conservative party, now brought to you by Goldline...get your gold at Goldline....now back to your propaganda.

ok, lemme find my tin foil hat and shotgun and watch this tool scare the crap out of the ignorant...oh goodie, he brought is chalk board...nothing like the subliminal image of a teacher to really get the subconscious to accept his teachings and dogma as truth..

It is hilarious that people don't see this. Listen to any of these conservative talk show hosts talk about gold....what do they all have in common? They all say they have been invested in gold for MANY YEARS. So why didn't they tell everyone to invest years ago when gold price was low?

So now they are pushing gold hard...and who is making money off of their investments from MANY YEARS AGO? LOL.

What will be even funnier is when the time comes for them to dump all their gold...very quietly...walk away with a boat load of cash and leave all these suckers who bought their propaganda with all their investments lost.

BUY LOW, SELL HIGH...and they say right in their advertisements "gold has never been worth more"...creative way to say..."buy gold to increase our investments...even though it is at a high point when you shouldn't invest".

Thank you havok,

when I have time this week i will come back and watch his speach.. Or listening while writing.

star and flag

Glen Beck is a master of deception and takes a populace approach to everything because he knows this is what people want to hear. I don't believe he is sincere or backs up his words with action.

I don't mean to be difficult, (or maybe I do unconsciously) but I wonder why people are always telling others when they give them a star and/or a flag. Is this the way people accumulate friends?

Isn't this like doing a good deed not for the deed but for someone else's recognition, praise and approval?
And doesn't this somehow diminish the act of kindness or generosity? I mean when you seek credit for it.
I am sorry but it is so clubby and I think it is better NOT to seek recognition for the good things you do but to by all means continue to do them.

Ok.
People.

I never said I 'loved' Glenn Beck.
I never said 'BUY GOLD'.

This speech stands out because this guy is telling Americans what they need to know. PROGRESSIVISM IS WRONG.

I am a Constitutionalist. Not a libertarian.

I believe we need to quit spending money.
I believe that ALOT of people lie to get their agenda across.

WE are enslaved only because we don't live without luxuries.

If anyone of you posters lived without money, or a sense of greed:
You wouldn't be posting rhetoric from your PC on the internet now would you?

So, lets start over. This speech was good because it details what happened to America when the "progressive" movement tried to fix things.
It explains what our Statue of Liberty is about.

Its doesn't 'fill you head with lies', or 'promote fear or slander'.

If you don't like Glenn Beck, then don't watch it.

I, for one, obviously in this thread, LOVE AMERICA!
I love the fact I can wake up everyday and choose to do ANYTHING I want.
I don't HAVE to work. I would be a bum, but I don't HAVE to.
I don't HAVE to spend money, I would be quite frugal, but its a choice.

You see, this thread was not posted to bash Beck.
It was posted to those who haven't seen it.

I can come up with as many stories about Obama as you can Beck.

A liberal's view of the videos (one by one)

begin video one, get comfy.

Ronald Reagen Massive debt increase under his presidency..ok, moving on

Hmm, his hero is Rush Limbaugh...weird, my father told me Glen Beck is a independent...surely he must have meant George Noorey...I can see how he slipped up there.

Yay, he tries to link progressive evolution of the republic to communism...I imagine he will balance it out later by linking facism to conservatism later on...no worries, fair and balanced and whatnot, if your going to go outlandishly extreme on one hand, surely he will go with the same measure for the other side...doing good, only had one good laugh at the hypocracy so far...I did actually laugh at the morning in america vomiting over a toilet though...that was kinda funny.

Interesting sidenote...who else was part of the progressive movement? The founding father...hense why congress exists, to progress the republic to match the times. the constitution is the base code to ensure life, liberty, persuit of happiness...the congress adds on to that to progress it, else why even have representatives. Its sort of the whole point.

...Time for video 2

Socialist Eutopia...wonder what a person from a real socialist country would say about this eutopia...

"I vote for republicans everytime I go...I dont even know what they stand for anymore". So much for objectivity.

I do like the tiger woods getting caught example...clever.

He is on a bipartisan role now of basically slamming those whom ignore their role. Both sides need to understand that. Death to lobbiests! Good job Glen, you get one star (dont stick it on your head yet, I am sure you will screw it up later)

Tax and spend...lets pull up the debt facts...besides Obama, every presidency for the last like 50 years that has had a R in front of their name = debt. Clinton/Carter dropped the debt down. Your idealogy is only hampered by the facts, but lets continue, he is still on a neutralish role and still slapping conservatives for being hypocrites.

onto video 3.

BEEP, moron alert...liberals are not in control, Left leaning moderates are in power at the moment. -1 star. Your losing because you clearly do not understand what liberalism is...what we have is not even remotely close to liberalism...your lack of understanding does not default to truth, and until you wake up and see, you will never grasp. anyone not far right is not a liberal...keep getting conservatives more out of touch than mainstream.

No rights to healthcare, housing, or handouts...Thats your opinion I guess...we also have no right to tell a woman what to do with her body, but that doesnt stop you...also we have no right to institute religious institutions into government but marriage is here..etc...

Your right...we dont have a right to education either...cant afford it, then oh well...education is an elitist tool anyhow.

Question back: When did it become bad to want all citizens to have a leg up against other countries educational and productive ratio?
Observation:
You know what..we dont have a right to be protected by others either...shall we dismiss police, firefighters, and military also, or is that different? We have a right to fight our own battles or die trying, why do we need cops and laws?!!

Social programs only if you like them, aye Beck? (takes back the star).

Next video...I feel we hit the "dumb" part now but never know...still waiting for him to start reading facist propoganda that allies themselves with the conservatives..maybe he forgot.

Rambling about small business.
Europe is bad...yadda yadda..
Greed is bad, its good, its bad, its who knows. Oh, the ocean of success...no, its a small lake Glen.
All men are created equal, not end up equal...tru dat.
Go big business, yay.
a OJ reference...wow.
Ahh a nobel reference. great...Obama shouldn't have given himself that.
Suck it up, eat a bug kid...that I accept.
Lions eat the weakest...thats what America should be. gonna need more cops....more socialist cops.
Worst is still ahead of us...buy gold

Ahh crap, God gave us our rights, not congress, not the founding fathers...it was the man in the sky.

ok, onto the next.
Depression talk...pure speculation.
Progressives caused hitler...ok..lets keep going
God killed Harding so Coolidge could take the reins..of course.

Spending less is good...agreed.

Actions speak louder than words...agreed there also.

1920s...fun time..establishment of megacorps however..meh, good and bad.

OMG, 2 stars...stick one on your head...your right, its not our job to spread democracy throughout the world...bring the boys back home! btw, this hits on a key conservative plan of having the middle easy democratic western influenced nations...but glad your against that also.
I feel sickened now

final video...maybe he will continue hammering against the war machine draining the lifeblood out of our financial system...learn from Clinton, reduce defense and we will go back up...bloated military..cut it in half and we could have perfect healthcare and education for everyone with even half the savings, and give the rest back to the people.

Hmm...pro-immigration policy, this wont go over well.

some random pro-usa stuff that is ultimately meaningless. I reckon he will yank some fireworks out of his pocket at any second.

ok, its over...relatively decent speech considering who it is and who he is addressing.
Fiscal conservatives I have no problem with, social conservatives annoy the living daylights out of me. He kept mostly fiscally conservatives on speech (courting the tea party still it appears) so not bad.

I give it 3 out of 5 stars. better than anything palin could ever deliver.

Beck, your a nutcase, but you can deliver a fairly decent speech. If your party thought like you do, I think they would be better off...but hypocracy does not change by a simple speech.

Actually this is more accurate of our founding fathers:

Political parties did not exist in 1789. Washington despised the idea of political associations, formed in such a way as to pit one group of citizens against another.

That word wasn't even invented until the 1900's.
Hmm...

The Democratic party:

The Democratic-Republican Party was founded by Thomas Jefferson. Thomas Jefferson was the third President of the United States , the principal author of the Declaration of Independence , and one of the most influential Founding Fathers for his promotion of the ideals of republicanism in the United States...
and James Madison
James Madison was an American politician and political philosopher who served as the fourth President of the United States , and was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States....
around 1792.
Supporters usually identified themselves as Republicans, but sometimes as Democrats.
The term "Democratic Republican" was also used by contemporaries, but mostly by the party's opponents. It was the dominant political party.
Political party: A political party is a political organization that seeks to attain and maintain political power within government, usually by participating in electoral campaigns...
in the United States from 1800 to 1824, when it split into competing factions, one of which became the modern Democratic Party
Democratic Party (United States):
The Democratic Party is one of the two major contemporary political parties in the United States, along with the Republican Party. It is the oldest political party in continuous operation in the United States and it is one of the oldest parties in the world. In the U.S..

Glenn Beck is an actor. He is being paid about $30 million a year to play the role he plays and to say the things he says, and to pull the rug out from underneath the patriots at the right moments, to co-opt the Tea Parties.

He is a wicked man who would do anything for money.

He's working for the Zionists and he's as sleezy as they come. He recently said Alan Keyes was a dangerous person who hates America. Can you believe it! And Debora M. who's running for governor in Texas, said she was a dangerous enemy of the state also.

Anybody who would put any credence in this blowhard actor, who uses vaseline to get real tears for his drama -- don't be so gullible.

Libertarians are more absolute about rights, where as Constitutionalists still advocate the legitimacy of the State to carry out certain tasks.

Taken from Here.

I am actually quite independent from political affiliations because of the uproar that I believe in being conjured up to divide us as a nation.
As you can see. Its working quite well.

This guy really came out of nowhere? I remember he had his little gig on CNN, but was relatively low-key, and his rise to the top is similar to someone else we know? A certain somebody in the Oval Office. The devil seems to be very generous these days?

I digress, however, this man is a shill and divider not a unifier. I have watched some of his programs and he is pointing fingers at this, that, and everything else with seemingly no rational solutions or alternatives. Just another overly compensated tabloid journalist with a talk show. I am not slighting him exclusively, but the whole lot of them. All they do is bicker and throw excrement at each other over the issues. They profit themselves by splitting us a part.

He mentions Progressivism as the sole cause of our problems today. However, I would have to disagree with him on that, because Progressivism is another term for progress. If he had his way, we would be a regressive country with workers being treated like slaves, working in sweat shop conditions, women not being allowed to vote, slavery across the Union, segregation would be alive and well, and other things from our past that were controversial. However, it was only through progressive minded Americans that we were able to move forward and right those wrongs.

Then he rails against Teddy Roosevelt who was one of the finest Presidents we ever had. He was father of the Food and Drug Administration whose sole task is to ensure that food is sanitary and medicine actually had medicinal applications, then he broke apart the monopolies ran with an iron-fist by the JP Morgans and Rockafellars which made the business climate more welcoming for up in coming entrepreneurs, he was instrumental in turning the United States Navy into an international blue water fleet with the inception of the Great White Fleet. So, his record speaks for itself, but yet the genius Glen Beck leaves that out when he berates a decent President who accomplished just as much or more as the President he champions in Ronald Reagan.

This man is a sham and has no idea what he is talking about, and yet the people are eating up his divisive agenda like fine caviar. All he has is complaints and criticism and a lot of finger pointing. He has no solutions for progression, and how we can circumvent this bottleneck. Right now a regressive is something that will do more harm than good, and apparently, if I am following him correctly he is championing that platform. Then he goes on and on about his alcoholism and his experience in failure. Rather than being humble about his success, he rubs his meteoric rise to fame and stardom in the faces of those who are still struggling. I see arrogance, and a holier than thou disposition toward others.

Then, he goes on and on about his childhood when he says that other peoples' backgrounds are of no concern to him. This guy is flip flopping more than John Kerry on the floor of the Senate, yet the people in the audience don't see it? His whiny and teary-eyed schtick is counterproductive. In other words, he is acting like the people he characterizes as liberals, but wears a conservative costume. Personally, I think this guy is a political hack and a disinfo propagandist. Hopefully, by the observations I have just shown, it brings that label into perspective when characterizing Glen Beck.

Oh yeah, I don't care about his religion as some have brought up, but I care when someone is insincere in their message and profiting off of dividing the nation when it needs to come together in one of our darkest hours. If the people are swallowing this load of excrement from Glen Beck and his fellow tabloid commentators, then we are in a real state of emergency. People have forgot how to form opinions and conclusions on their own as they blindly accept what these men and women say as gospel. No one looks into the facts themselves like they should, when forming a political opinion, casting a vote on a particular candidate, following the platform of a particular party, and on and on. . . It is as though people are in a lull and have the "deer in headlights syndrome," as a freight train heads in our direction at full speed.

So, personally, I think this man and all his ilk across the party divide should put their foot in their mouths, because they are doing more harm than good. They are trying to turn us against each other, when we should be finding common ground and working together to solve our differences. These network commentators and radio talk show hosts have to much power and influence, and often take creative license with the facts. They are cherry pickers, like another prominent commentator of the past, and that was Joseph Goebbels, Hitler's political mastermind and propaganda minister. How is what these people are doing right now any different than what Joseph Goebbels was up to in Nazi Germany? Personally, I have a hard time seeing the distinction? Anyways, I say, Mr. Beck is entertaining, but if anyone takes what he says as genuine or fact based, then we are in trouble. I rest my case.

Socialist Eutopia have nothing to do with "real socialism" practiced in former eastern block. On one hand are many European countries more socialistic then former "real socialism" countries. Why? Because social safety or justice is just way to personal liberty. Socialistic society (for example) give children from disfunctional family chance to incorporate into society by providing them by health care, shelter and education. It have nothing to do with support of failed banks - that is why is Obama called socialist - he is not socialist but corporate shill.
"Real socialism" was system based on this idea but totally screwed up by Bolsheviks totalitarianism. Central planed economy, tight censorship or Gulag have nothing to do with idea of socialism. In fact totalitarianism is category per se and can use any ideology - neoconservative for example
Nazi Germany was not socialistic society even while ruled by Nazionale Socialists! It was fascist country because of connection between ruling political elite and corporate sphere. "Real socialism" was state based capitalism because means of production were owned by state - not by workers.
Now I can compare "real socialism" (in quite civilized form in former Czechoslovakia) and "real capitalism". So for 70% of people it is step back. Why? Because 70% of people will not use possibility of "free" traveling, greater educational possibilities and "free" exchange of ideas (in fact western propaganda machine is much more efficient then former eastern one) and "free" market. This possibilities are used by 20% of people. Last 10% are plain mafia or government mafia. That is reality. There was corruption in socialistic Czechoslovakia but it can not be compared to corruption in "capitalistic" Czech Rep.
I should do special thread where we can compare our experiences with different systems. I just try to present pure fact, that situation is much more complex then many people in USA think.

Thanks for clarification on libertarian/constitutional stance. Many terms have different connotations or even meaning in European and US discourse (and that is one root of proposed European anti-Americanism). US Constitution is definitively one of best - even now when it is buried under various "Patriot Acts". I have big respect to people who know this.

Go Google. I saw the film on You Tube of his photo op where he was using vaseline to bring out the tears, and then he screwed up his face and they took a bunch of shots.

Alex mentioned his yearly salary as being $30 or maybe he said $23 million, not sure, but it's a huge amount, and the guy is an actor. They all are on Fox, playing the role of conservatives, and they are all as conservative as Obama when he's out on a date with his boyfriend Larry.

Actors don't all have a memorized script. They can go by talking points as well, and Glenn Beck I'm pretty sure has a teleprompter. His shows seem very well-scripted. He's an actor.

There are lots of You Tubes up with Glenn Beck, like where he said Ron Paul supporters, back in the early campaign 2008, were dangerous and needed to be arrested, and all kinds of stuff that he says. He goes back and forth.

He is a snake in the grass. Give him his talking points, write him his check, and he will say anything he's told.

For some reason, making money and doing the right thing just does not belong anywhere in half our countries population now. Everyone associates money with evil acts of greed.

Hell, Glenn Beck could be doing this because he wants to for the people or the money. All I care about is if he follows through with his words and doesn't switch boat in regards to the public eye.

This country was founded on success in this economy.
People need to learn they have to work HARD to earn money!

NOTHING should be handed to you. There's no easy way around it.
Americans are not entitled to success! You have to earn it!

When things are handed to you, you get spoiled.

Agree with your ideology - but why are there different rules for corporations and the wealthy? Why are there different rules about who makes money in the stock market? Why aren't the wealthy paying all of their fair share of taxes to make this country work? It's not a level playing field m yfriend.

The "lazy worker" quote sounds like it just came out of the mouth of a CEO

The government doesn't have enough money because of the working class or the middle class or because of the low level of entitlements we receive for our tax dollars. We don't have enough money because the wealthy have robbed this country blind. The big corporations have moved jobs overseas and banked their money in off-shore tax shelters. Why? Because the large American corporation doesn't give a rat's ass about us. You think tax breaks allow the wealthy to create jobs too? I'll tell you what the wealthy do - they eliminate jobs so they can stuff more money to into their already fat wallets.

Conservative ideology of the kind Beck vomits is exactly what got this country into the mess it is in. Wars, endless tax breaks, funneling more and more money into the corporate structure, privatizing essential services and watching them get gutted,
