Though 'ancient' to us today yet rather recent on the larger view of modern anthropology (on a scale of approximately 30,000 years being from only
about 5,000 to 2,500 years BP) we do have overwhelming evidence of seafaring mariners coming from the Mediterranean and W.Africa to the Americas and
to and from the NE also. They were also crossing from Australia to what is Peru and Mexico and returning!
I am at a site amid the US (in New Mexico) which dates to 759 BCE and is Israelite-Phoenician, but North and NE of my location are areas (in Utah and
the Purgatory river Colorado-Oklahoma) dating to the earliest Ligature phase of Proto-Archaic Hebrew (5,000 to 4,000 years BP)!
