Beyond a shadow of a doubt ... on one hand is decissive and on the other vague ///

so, when in doubt - lets discuss it ... what does this mean to you and how come we can not apply such a common law on the varous things coming out of WDC... on one hand its beyond a shadow of a doubt and on the other ... doubt .... sort of confused me thinking about this and the law. it really means something we are just not sure what... please comment... TKS AE

This is not the legal standard in the United States. It is "beyond a reasonable doubt" for criminal cases.

Beyond a reasonable doubt - "The standard that must be met by the prosecution's evidence in a criminal prosecution: that no other logical explanation can be derived from the facts except that the defendant committed the crime, thereby overcoming the presumption that a person is innocent until proven guilty."
