This was not done out of ignorance. This was an intentional move to piss off the Chinese. We owe them trillions of dollars in debt. If they want to, they could sell our stocks on the open market and eliminate us.

This is one of the most ridiculously stupid moves I have ever seen our country make. If we continue this nonsense, it will only be a matter of time before China and Russia pull our cards. Why don't we just fly over there and take a dump on the Great Wall of China in front of their diplomats instead. That would have shown more respect.

What could this administration be thinking????

China is to place sanctions on US companies, that deal with arms trading and to suspend co-operation with the United States on regional and international issues e.g North Korea and Iran.

*claps* well done Obama. Smart move

Maybe the chinese should flood the US with tons of cheap AK47's. I'm sure all the gangs and drug dealers would love to get thier hands on a fully automatic assult riffle.

If they pumped enough guns into California with all their latino residents. The might want to succeed and become Mexico minor.

Sanctions against US? That's laughable. They need the US than anyone else. Without US consumers to buy their cheap and continuosly need to replace goods, the CCP would be overthrown by their masses overnight, apple polishers or no.

They know which side of the bread is buttered. Such threats means nothing to the american born and bred. Perhaps, americans should start instead a ' boycott China bullies good' instead? I am sure that will make the CCP and the selfish US corporations there pee in their pants for all the hogwash they are attempting to dish upon the american public and the world.

im not sure what your point is??

im all about self-determination for the nationalist chinese but the hypocrisy reeks. there are more ways then one the mainland can get back at us for it, such as dropping the debt they hold... yikes.

My guess is we'll see Chinas charlie wilson steer more surface to air missiles / other cooler deadly weapons to Afghanistan... DC will get the 'message' after a dozen or so blackhawks, bradly tanks & crew get chinese take(n)-out... taiwan will announce, on second thought.. they don't need all those weapons after-all.

I do really enjoy watching the DC mafia FAIL by pissing off other nations, especially china & russia.

The secretary general of the National Security Council of Taiwan Su Chi has chosen to resign against the President's will.

Some believe he was forced to resign either under the US's or China's influence.

He is now being replaced by Hu Wei-chen whose father used fought the communists along with Chiang Kai Shek, and then retreated to Taiwan after losing against the communists.

Hu has previously served as a section chief in Taiwan's representative offices in Washington D.C. and Chicago, chief of the protocol section in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representative to German and to Singapore, deputy director of the National Security Bureau and as NSC deputy secretary-general.

His father Hu Zong Nan was Kai Shek's Military Advisor, and became one of the Kuomintang generals his enemy deeply feared and respected.

Hu's rivary with Chen Cheng continued while his friendship with Dai Li deepened, eventually lead to Hu's engagement to his girlfriend Ye Xiazhai (叶霞翟), who was first introduced to him by Dai Li when Ye was working Dai Li.

As the Chief of the Kuomintang (KMT) Army secret service in China, Dai Li helped to develop China's modern intelligence organization in 1928. He became "The Himmler of China".

Dai was also the head of the Blue Shirts Society, a fascist organization that did security and intelligence work for Chiang.

Dai worked with the United States during World War II and was taught new methods of espionage, and his guerrilla force grew to 70,000 men.

In return for this partnership, he made available maps of the South China coast, intelligence on Japanese maneuvers and a safe haven for downed Allied pilots.

After the signing of the SACO Treaty in 1942, Dai was placed as head of Sino-American intelligence activities.

The above information can all be found on Wikipedia and in other sources.

Further information on Wikipedia on Chiang Kai Shek will show that the US supported him to fight communism - obviously. Just as Hitler was used to fight communism in Russia.
