Israel to construct Egypt barrier

Israel's government has approved plans for the construction of a barrier along its border with Egypt in a bid to keep out illegal migrants and militants.

It will be built along two parts of the border - near the Red Sea city of Eilat and on the edge of the Gaza Strip.

PM Benjamin Netanyahu said the decision was taken to secure Israel's Jewish and democratic character, but that refugees would still be allowed to seek entry.

Here we go again... Another wall to completely close off the Gaza strip using the excuse of "security"... They get rocketed, rocks throw at them, so they build walls, prevent the other 99% of the population who are innocent from having the basic necessities of life, and bomb them to bits...

When will anybody learn! I mean both sides!

What are the Israelis going to do? Keep building more walls, more barriers, with more guns, more troops?

It's time that Israel took a long hard look in the mirror and asked itself why they are forced to live like prisoners in their own country. Why are they increasingly being viewed as the antagonists in the Mid-East.

I'm not anti-Israel, just anti conflict, pro-harmony.

There are only so many walls and guns, time Israel tried a different tack.
