OH THAT IS NOT GOOD !!

Tis only G2 on the scale so doesn't seem bad, but I imagine if the solar storm/earthquake relation theory is correct then we might be in for a big quake very soon.

In fact some guy predicted there would be a big one in Alaska, there was a thread about it, I wonder if this is the solar storm he was on about which would cause the quake

Yep, I remember that thread - and there's some activity at Mt Redoubt, too, according to another.

Here they are:

I've not really looked into the solar connection but it keeps cropping up so worth an investigation

Great to get some info in from other locations

I think it would be really exciting if we could get people from all over the globe contributing regularly and we can get first-hand reports on events. We've already got folks in Oz, New Zealand, UK, California, Alaska - where else?

I'm from Germany, so this is not my area, but I watch emsc, because thats closer to home.

That quake of Easter Island seems to be on the same ridge of the ocean floor like this:
Magnitude mb 5.1
Region SOUTHEAST OF EASTER ISLAND

Date time 2010-04-10 at 05:06:47.8 UTC
Location 36.05 S ; 100.99 W
Depth 33 km
Distances
2460 km W Valdivia (pop 133,419 ; local time 01:06 2010-04-10)
2424 km W Ancud (pop 28,020 ; local time 01:06 2010-04-10)

That was some days ago. if you follow that ridge to the shore you arrive at Santiago de Chile... so most likely close connected to that quake.
