Okay. I am anything but a physicist; and am in fact for the most part self taught. So this could be way off, but here's an idea I have:
It seems that photons, and electromagnetic fields are intimately related. Human beings emit an electromagnetic field. Photons enter the atmosphere and are arranged by the Earth's electromagnetic field, and also by our own electromagnetic field. Our DNA I have heard is like an antenna so maybe it is what arranges the photons through the manipulation of the field.
Like I said, this is more the conjunction of ideas, but I could be striking out here. Please feel free, and in fact I insist, correct me if I am wrong. We could potentially evolve the idea.
Everything is ultimately light because solid matter does not really exist, it is vibrating energy. This is a very important insight to learn, because then you realise the entire universe is an energy field and all energy is interacting with one another.
The best kind of energy is to live a healthy, vegetarian and green lifestyle

So without an EMF no photons? I apologize for the one liner, but it's a simple question, and relevant.

Even going by the atomic theory, we are 50% EM radiation (which is what light is) and 50% nuclear forces.
It might be more correct to say we are the "unified field," whatever exactly that is, but I agree with the general idea that mass is basically holographic because it is not really "solid" but 99.99% empty space and EM fields and forces at work creating the illusion of solidity to our duller senses.
We no longer have to think of things as separate forms of matter, but instead think of everything as an energy vibration.
Some things will be good for our vibration and some will be bad.
If everything is light, it means everything is one substance ultimately.
The researchers found the body glow rose and fell over the day, with its lowest point at 10 a.m. and its peak at 4 p.m., dropping gradually after that. These findings suggest there is light emission linked to our body clocks, most likely due to how our metabolic rhythms fluctuate over the course of the day. Faces glowed more than the rest of the body. This might be because faces are more tanned than the rest of the body, since they get more exposure to sunlight – the pigment behind skin color, melanin, has fluorescent components that could enhance the body’s miniscule light production. Since this faint light is linked with the body’s metabolism, this finding suggests cameras that can spot the weak emissions could help spot medical conditions, said researcher Hitoshi Okamura, a circadian biologist at Kyoto University in Japan.
