Obama Ordered U.S. Military Strike on Yemen Terrorists

abcnews.go.com

On orders from President Barack Obama, the U.S. military launched cruise missiles early Thursday against two suspected al-Qaeda sites in Yemen, administration officials told ABC News in a report broadcast on ABC World News with Charles Gibson.

The Yemen attacks by the U.S. military represent a major escalation of the Obama administration's campaign against al Qaeda.

President Obama placed a call after the strikes to "congratulate" the President of Yemen...

Geez... We're going on a rampage and shooting at every one over half a world a way.. so much for that Nobel Peace Prize thingy!

The only folks left would be like, Iran or something like that. These folks just don't quit.

And with the economy, you would think folks would think twice about getting involved in this stuff!

They are passing a 650 billion dollar war fund bill today on top of the trillion spent the other day. There is no doubt the money is either being robbed or being spent on something else. All that money and still no jobs.

These are the pertinent facts of the article.

Along with the two U.S. cruise missile attacks, Yemen security forces carried out raids in three separate locations.

American officials said the missile strikes were intended to disrupt a growing threat from the al Qaeda branch in Yemen....

The al Qaeda presence in Yemen has been steadily growing in the last two years.

The U.S. embassy was attacked by suspected al Qaeda gunmen last year.

"If they can go to Yemen just as easily or easier and get training there and come out again," said [Richard Barrett, coordinator of the U.N.'s Taliban al-Qaeda Sancitions Monitoring Committee], "all your efforts in Pakistan and Afghanistan are a waste of time."

It is impossible to assess any situation or to understand any action without taking the time to determine the pertinent facts.

Kudos to President Obama for taking decisive action in assisting the Yemeni government in fight against al Qaeda.

Well now that Obama has realized the easiest way to win a Nobel Peace Prize and a cool million dollars along with it is to fight multiple wars constantly he has to get to work on securing next years prize.

The Zionists and the Oil Companies are getting ready to kick their plan for redrawing the maps of the Middle East in to high gear.

I highly recomend anyone who doesn't own a bicycle to get out and buy one while they are still cheap, because once they start the war they want with Iran and gasoline goes up twenty dollars a gallon, with a 5 gallon limit every other day, bicycles will be going up 4 and 5 times what they are worth today.

Owning one will likely make the difference between being able to afford to eat or not.

Some of these warmongerers pushing for these conflicts sure are going to be surprised when you start paying the real and true price of this insane blood lust.

Actually, I was watching some kind of political news show that had a member from Congress -- a democrat I think -- and he specifically said that their goal is to pass a jobs creation bill tied together with a war funding bill. His quote was that the American people really want jobs, but aren't in favor of the war, so the only way to get the necessary funding is to promise the Americans jobs in exchange for additional war funding.

It will be interesting to see whether or not this holds true or if our need for jobs has already been pushed aside again.

It's really not in the government's interest right now to improve the jobs market. The less jobs there are available the more people tend to join the military. And from what I've seen of Obama's rampage so far....the US is going to need as many troops as possible. There is no way for us to keep up this pace without seriously running short on troops or working the ones we have to the point of sheer exhaustion. These guys are facing two and three plus consecutive deployments. Not a good situation at all.
