Nine year olds, like most children, repeat what their parents think. There are nine year olds who adore Obama. Do they count more, or less than this little girl?

My assertion is that they don't count at all, because they're nine years old. Nine year olds don't have developed political opinions, whether htey agree with you, or agree with me.

I thought the video was funny, but it is kind of disturbing, as well. The reason being, is the fact that she is 9 years old. Can she truly grasp the intricacies of politics at that age and form an independent opinion? Perhaps, and perhaps not.

In my humble opinion, I saw a little girl being coached by adults whether it be her parents, teachers, or whom ever. In other words, how is it different from these three videos below?







Why would a child toil their mind with politics if not to please the whims of their parents or adults they look up to? I would figure she would be more interested in playing outside with her friends, catching fireflies, coloring, watching Harry Potter, or other things a 9-year-old would find interesting, but making a political statement? That I find suspect, however, maybe she made the video on her own or maybe not. Moreover, she should be worrying about things in childhood and not things of adulthood, like politics. Trust me, when she becomes an adult, she will have the rest of her life to worry about it, as we all do, on here. Just my opinion on the video.

You are talking about a video where a little girl is being coached what to say...

Listen at 43-52 seconds... Some one is whispering telling her exactly what to say... This happens again at 1:19-1:25

Then the ONLY thing she says is that He said he would bring the troops home and didn't.... He never said that. He said he would pull them out of Iraq and put them into Afghanistan which is EXACTLY what he is doing!

Then she goes on to say "GET OBAMA" as the toy crowd she made attacks the doll that represents Obama... So she is suggesting that we murder the president? Or are her parents suggesting that?

I don't care who you are or what your political beliefs are. You don't suggest that it is OK to kill ANYBODY!


There is NOTHING in this video that this girl has not been spoon fed or taught to say. Quite frankly I am sick of this left VS right divide. It is just a distraction. Obama is not the problem. George W. Bush was not the problem... Lobbyists and special interest groups that bride congress to vote their way rather than the american peoples way.

If you wish to save this country of ours, we HAVE to get pat the left VS right ideology. We HAVE to get past the bickering and work together to stand up for what is right.

We must stop using CHILDREN as pawns in our own sick little games. They are sick enough as it is. We must stop playing the blame game. We must stop fighting amongst each other. WE are not enemies. We are allies. We must work together to stop this country from getting any worse.

But posting things like this, that has a little girl being coached to say things that only divides us, is not going to help at all. So what do you say? Let us work together for the sake of this country that we both love so much. Let's all work together and save our country so we can be back on top again!

Thanks for the reply, and yes, you are correct, the videos shown as examples, are government sponsored propaganda. From my perception, the video in your thread was made individually, as you have said. However, the content of the video seems suspect? Perhaps, she is in tune with Barack Obama's policies and what not, but to make a video, and post on You tube?

Now, I am not naive, and she has probably overheard her parents' discussion about their agreements or disagreements with the Obama administration at the dinner table or on the car ride to grandma and grandpa's, but to go out of her way and make a video exclusively on her own, and put it in a public forum, such as, You Tube? I still think adults put her up to this, because I mean what care is it of her's, really? She has not had to close down her lemonade stand, or lost her dollhouse in foreclosure, or having difficulties acquiring a loan for her allowance. That was a pun, but you get what I mean. So, to put it simply, I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around the purpose of this particular video, you have decided to share with us? Children are highly impressionable, and I completely abhor adults that exploit them for their personal gains, financial or political. We just recently saw it with "Baloon Boy." That type of behavior should be contested at all times.

Now, back to the videos I showed as an examples. I know they are extreme examples of using children to make a political message, however, those videos started from something more simple and unsuspecting, did they not? First they begin as cute and subtle, and gradually build to blatant exploitation as shown in the videos. So, I guess you can call the gradual progression, a lulling of the populace. The people are exposed to a certain thing for so long until it is of no concern to them, as it might have been at the onset. Thanks for the added incite, as well.
