6.5 Earthquake just off Chile

Just got a Tsunami bulletin for it.....not threat thankfully (for Australia anyway). Im just thought people should know about this one as its quite large. Epicentre is located just off the coast of Northern Chile.

Now off to find if there is any reported damages as of yet

It's a pretty shallow one too, so the shalking will be a lot worse. That subduction zone off the W coast of South America has produced 9+ magnitude quakes in the past. With all of the volcanic activity going on in Central and South America lately, hopefully extra pressure isn't being applied to that plate that would trigger a larger event in the near future.

I got notice of 2 different ones - both - 6.5's.
