'Prepare For War!' Chavez Warns Miltary and Populace...
rawstory.com
The leader of the fifth-largest oil exporter in the world is warning his country's military and citizenry to prepare for war with Colombia and
the United States.
Chavez has repeatedly voiced deep fears of US encroachment in the region.
Relations between the neighbours were frozen in July after Colombia announced an agreement to lease the use of military bases to the United States.
"Venezuela and Colombia share a 1,375-mile (2,200-km) border and a volatile history" (visit the link for the full news article)

Reuters: FACTBOX-History of tensions between Venezuela, Colombia
Nov 6 (Reuters) - Colombia and Venezuela are caught up in a diplomatic dispute that some are calling the "Cold War" of the Andes. Border
killings and spying charges have fueled recent tensions between the Andean neighbors. See analysis: ID:nN06180988
Some VERY LOUD Sabre-rattling from Chavez... I dont have a good feeling about this.

He is going now because he knows we are gonna be in a tizzy over the health bill.
Sounds strange, but I think it is true... Best time to pull a move - I think he knows
half this government will not want to take eyes off the healthcare and the other half
will try to put all eyes on him. Bottom line is he knows the US is gonna be in an Epic internal battle fighting against the evils of healthcare.
IMO
Smart Ahole -

Actually Chavez has been saying things like this for years. Maybe you recall when he spoke at the United Nations after president Bush and remarked
that the podium smelled "of sulfur" pretty much implying Bush was the devil. The US has been positioning its military in the neighboring countries
around Venezuela for some time now as well as other countries with oil assets. Unfortunately the mainstream media only seems to notice the things that
Chavez says and seems to avoid what we're doing to provoke those statements.

Well, Nicholas Rockefeller apparently said to Aaron Russo early 2001:
"We're going to go into Afghanistan, Iraq and Venezuela."
TPTB don't like Chavez. It's really that simple.

Sounds like he's a very wise man. Maybe too wise...

I like the man's style. Very witty.
As there are often cries of wolf on this forum without any follow-up, I'll be interested in this event after the first shot is fired, not before.

Chavez and Ahmadinajad are tough customers, but in a tough situation.
I have full respect for both of them, I have no doubt the NWO will once again create either a false flag, or simply invade Venuzuala.
I wish Chavez and Ahmadinajad best of luck in difficult times, and hope for peace for the sake of the people of those countries.
According to some sources who claim knowledge of NWO plans - they intend to launch a nuke or ballistic missile from near or inside Iran aimed at
Israel to provoke the conflict there.
I have no information on what the plan is with Venuzuala. Anyone watching the situation can tell that there is indeed a plan.

Sure! They are OBVIOUSLY sweet, peace loving guys these two. I ALSO wish them the best of luck in all of their endeavors..... Heck, Let's add Kim
il Jong, Saddam Hussein's ghost, and maybe Hitler's CLONE into the mix! Surely they only mean for the best for their combined people's, right?
It's all PEACE AND FLOWERS until you are making the decision whether or not to burn to death or jump out of a 110 story building.
I truly wonder how much of this NWO idiocy you'll be thinking about when it's time for YOU to DIE BY THE SWORD. It's time to wake up kids. This
is not 1969 and definitely NOT Haight Ashbury. These people want you DEAD. They want to raise THEIR CHILDREN on YOUR LANDS. Continue at your own
peril. This politically correct crap WILL BE the downfall of Western Civilization. Take Fort Hood as just an appetizer for what is to come.

Explain to me how Chavez is a threat to the US?
because his government is left leaning? since when has that been a crime....what happened to democracy...his people voted him in.....
The USA freaked when Russia stationed missiles in Cuba but here we see the US doing the same thing by stationing and supplying 4 or 5 bases in
Colombia as a pre text to incursions into south america that has majority of the time been left leaning....Oh, lets not forget the oil...surely that
has not got anything to do with all this has it?
About time many of you grew up and saw what is going on and how the rest of the world see's America and its policies from outside of America....not
from within....you'd be surprised.

I wish every misfortune possible upon Chavez, from disease to some sort of mugging to car accident, whatever- a hate filled left wing racist bigot who
is wrecking his country (highest crime rate in the world, no water 2 days a week etc) and tries to use classic divide and conquer tactics so beloved
of tyrants everywhere
Hopefully his end will come soon

Will be very interesting to see if the people of Venezuela are behind him or not...
Also would be very interesting if war broke out between Venezuela and Colombia considering FARC has an estimated 11,000 soldiers inside
Colombia(probably larger now that US troops are stationed there) which share the same political ideals as Chavez.

Our country would do well to have a man of the same character as Hugo Chavez leading it...... The U.S. has been up to no good in Latin America
controlling the corrupt politicians and stealing resources for well over a century..... I admire Chavez for the good he is doing and his willingness
to take a stand against the corrupt corporations supported by henchmen on the U.S payroll that want to take him and his people down while their land
is stripped of it's resources and labor.

Yes, his forrays into extending his celebrity tyranny into the US and waffle about helping the poor there (whilst his own poor are now going without
water 2 days a weeks and suffering the highest murder rate in the world) he focussed purely on latin and black areas, and ignored visiting
states/areas with white poverty ( hard as it is for a left wing bigot like him to acknowledge, but tens of millions of US whites are below the poverty
line)
His own background is one of victimhood based on race, with specific anti white focus- he is just another oaf who uses race as a means to divide
people into groups for power purposes

Economical problems in Venezuela? Usually "prepare for war" cries and besieged fortress ideology are used when internal economical/political
situation is bad. If US wanted to take Venezuela by force - it would not be a problem. And war with Colombia, while possible, will harm both
countries. I do not think that Colombian politicians would gain public support for this war.
He is just hiding current inner problems by external boogie man,in my opinion.

spot on ZK, the internal problems are getting worse, with water rations recently announced.
As usual, spoiled middle class people in the west who cling to some socialist/left wing ideal, regard him as a god, without having to experience life
in such a "utopia"- some of them should move there

To the one that said that Chavez is a wise man, well I can only laught at.
I'm from Colombia and currently live here in Bogotá, this conflict is not about the NWO, the Illuminati, or such. Is just like the problem between
Argentina and England for the falkland islands. Currently Chavez is suffering a lot of critics in Venezuela due to his politics and the fact that
the economy is going down hill, he's a dictator from the extreme-left.
On the other hand, our president Uribe, is one "warrior" of the Opus Dei.. a man that could be considered a fascist and right wing dictator
who's practically modificating the constitution of Colombia for the second time, so he can be elected again next year. The sad fact, is that most
of the country is with him and so he'll probably will win the "democractic" elections.
In case a war between these two countries happen, I really can't see the people fighting each other. Venezuelan and Colombian people are practically
the same (specially those that live in the frontier) there's no hate between each other. Only some nationalist fags and puppets of the US on one
hand, and on the other puppets of Chavez socialism, would fight.

ROFLMAO!
You have to hand it to Chavez. After getting himself elected "El Presadente for Life", taking control of the country's media outlets and
nationalizing every company that is worth anything, what's he going to do now? What is he going to sieze or take over next? What does he want? He
has to want something. What new power will allow him to defend the country against the US and Columbia? Right now the Russians have to be pounding
their heads aganst the wall for giving up too early. If they could have just hung on for another twenty years. The seeds they planted in the 50's
and 60's took too long to bear fruit.
