TA-THREATS: White house fears attacks leading up to the election

It's hard to say if we ( U.S.A. ) will be attacked again or not, thats a 50/50 call there, but, it sure would be a good scheme for Bush and his administration to send fear into the U.S. citizens, right before the elections, so Bush could issue a " Martial Law " into effect and call for the election to be cancelled or pushed back . That would guarantee his position as president for a while longer and this would not surprise me if it was to happen. Trust Bush ??? Not in this life-time !!!! Beleive he'd pull a stunt like that ???? Damn straight I do !!!

Even more news on the possible attacks on this summer or before the election. If you want to thing is a scare tactics, that's fine, at least if it does happen people can't be crying latter on that the government didn't mention this information.

WASHINGTON - U.S. officials have obtained new intelligence deemed highly credible indicating al-Qaida or other terrorists are in the United States and preparing to launch a major attack this summer, The Associated Press has learned.

The intelligence does not include a time, place or method of attack but is among the most disturbing received by the government since the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, according to a senior federal counterterrorism official who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity Tuesday.

Of most concern, the official said, is that terrorists may possess and use a chemical, biological or radiological weapon that could cause much more damage and casualties than a conventional bomb.

"There is clearly a steady drumbeat of information that they are going to attack and hit us hard," said the official, who described the intelligence as highly credible. "

If this is true or not, only the so-called Bush Administration knows the truth. The only reason they keep on giving these alerts is so people will not see them asleep on "their watch" again, like when 9/11 happened, and to keep "terrorizing" the American people.

Yep, I said it . This Administration has been giving these terrorist alert since 9/11 and NOTHING has happened, so how are we to beleive them when they keep "crying wolf".

Well, the public was not warned before 9/11, even though the Government had foreknowledge.

The Government most likely will carry out the terror scenario as the elections heat up. If G. W. Bush wants to stay in power over the United States, then I believe he'd be willing to do anything to keep his powerful position in the world.

The Government, in my opinion, has already responded to the planned terrorist scenario by warning the people. What better way to make the terrorist scenario look like it wasn't the Government's fault, by saying, "we warned the people we had credible intelligence about a planned terrorist attack, so you can't blame us this time."

It's already planned, in my opinion, for it to happen and G. W. Bush isn't one to cry over a few lost innocent lives.

Where is the evidence for making this kind of statement?
People are too naive to think that terrorists are not able to attack any country....and you have to either ignore every attack the terrorists have done all over the world...or you are not informed enough to even understand what is happening.

This knowledge comes from my understanding that sometimes terrorist attacks can be used for political gain. Especially since there hasn't been a successful terror attack after 9/11, a new terror attack before the elections doesn't sound like a bad idea for Bush and his War on Terrorism campaign.

There seems to be people out there that think the same way I do about those terror warnings for something major before the 2004 elections.

You would have preferred if there was another major attack on US soil already?

I am not so eager for another attack on american soil, or anywhere else, but that's just me......

Anyway....this sounds to me just like when some people keep saying there is no proof for wmd in Iraq, when there is proof to the contrary......

I posted a few months back a list of all the successful attacks that Al Qaeda has claimed and that happened in U.S. soil and elsewhere, there were at least 11-13 attacks in the U.S after 9/11, without counting the "rise in accidents" at refineries that suddenly began to occur....i could be wrong but I think you asked the same thing back then...or it was somebody else.

Ok, I found the list of imaginary attacks on U.S. soil and other countries after 9/11 that Al Qaeda claimed....humm....immortal you were one of the same people that brought this up also...last month....are you going to bring it up next month to see if people forget this list?

(actually my memory failed me, the 11-13 attacks on US soil were counting the oil refineries but not counting some of the other blackouts that happened in the U.S.)

Err.....perhaps you need to put on your thinking cap nanna...lately you seem to be forgetting it.....think about it.....airplanes in the year 1422? That's Islamic year....not the Gregorian year, we use the Gregorian calendar........i guess, you are not laughing now?.....
