Islamists who want to destroy the state get £100,000 funding

Members of a group regarded as an 'organisation of concern’ by the Home Office has secured large government grants for schools , reports Andrew Gilligan.

Leading members of a group that wants to bring down the British state and replace it with a dictatorship under Islamic law have secured more than £100,000 of taxpayers’ money for a chain of schools.

Accounts filed at the Charity Commission show that the Government paid a total of £113,411 last year to a foundation run by senior members and activists of Hizb ut-Tahrir — a notorious Islamic extremist group that ministers promised to ban.

Hizb, which operates worldwide, insists it is non-violent and condemned the London bombings.

However its website previously displayed a leaflet urging Muslims to “kill [Jews] wherever you find them” and at a rally in London earlier this year, Imran Waheed, its chief media adviser in Britain, said that there could be “no peace” with Israel, calling on Muslims to “fight” a “jihad… in the way of Allah” against it.

Obviously not every stupid political desciion is U.S. based, but i guess some Brits, need to kick some ass within the U.K. political room.

Wow, hell of a story. Britain has it's hands full with the Islamic community. Hopefully they can get this stuff under control. Scary stuff indeed.

Hizb ut-Tahrir has always advocated non violence, since its creation in 1953.

Sure, it calls for the overthrow of "the State". It wants a Muslim Caliphate to replace all these wacky democratic institutions of ours. That's its right. In a way, it poses as much a threat to the corrupt Arab governments in the Middle East, as an organisation it's actually banned in many Muslim countries, with many members tortured or murdered by Arab states.

The money provided ... £100,000 ... is little more than a raindrop in an ocean. It was used to help run a nursery & primary school. I've got concerns about public money being used to fund any school where religious faith forms part of the curriculum, whether it be Christian, Muslim or Jewish. Religion should form no part of publically funded education, that's best dealt with in the home and at your own expense.

But unless he can prove that money was used for nefarious purposes I really don't see why Andrew Gilligan's getting so worked up about the whole thing. Andrew Gilligan ... he can always be relied on to sex up a good story, can't he ??

This is an outrage. I'm sure they could get someone to destroy the state for half that...

Reminds of that latest event were some parent who came from Iraq and was living in the U.S. run over his daughter and killed her because she had become to westernized. Goes to show, how backward thinking people can be.

You want to talk about brain washing people given what he article has written, there teaching 5 year old children that integration is wrong..! So why the hell are you even in the U.K. , why not pack up your bags and move to which ever oher camel country you came from.....Sheez, the level of stupidity in politicians to even fund these fanatics is beyond me.

Is that any more absurd than breading pairs of family members, men with a dozen wives or people who teach their kids that we all popped up 6000 years ago and that there were no dinosaurs. All that happens in the good ol USofA. All sorts of people do stupid things, not just dark skinned folk from far off lands. You just think your brand of lunacy is better, it's not.
