The Ads: Do u get money from them?

Do u get money from them from clicking, or just from the fact that they r on there? And, not that it is my business, does most of the money go toward the site? I will click the ads if it will help the site. I was just curios.

The adds are the primary source of revenue for the site.

They are what keep ats alive and well. That and ofcourse the page views and content.

No it's page views. For everybody who views a page with an Add, ATS makes money.

So don't worry about it. Just don't use AD BLOCKER or any sort of software like that, because you are effectively killing the website.

If you get a popup by clicking them or if they try to self download a PDF file, SkepticOverlord has asked that we message him the links to them so he can get rid of them.

Just a heads up as we are trying to rid ATS of possible virus inducing ads.

That would be against the T&C of the website and would get you banned.

Sorry but don't go screwing with this places only revenue source.

I wouldn't have mentioned that as you agreed not to when you became a member.

If you become a bronze contributer, all ads are removed from your view (except for HTML pages)

But the Bronze doesn't take away ads from BTS, so they still make a bit off you.

It's a good thing, this site costs so much money to run, as every thread ever made is floating around somewhere.

Hem.....I wonder then if another level takes it away, because I do not see any ads at all (if I am signed in), on either ATS or BTS.

No, you're right. I don't see them either. I think I'm thinking of sometimes when I go to BTS I'm not signed in there, but I am on ATS. So I see the ads there until I sign in on BTS.
