Fox biz mistake?!

Dow drops -371.68 Just a glitch? Sunday, no futures before the #'s and the S&P, NASDAQ are correct. Only 1 day to see if this was an ooops.

I saw this on Fox Biz this morning (Sunday) 8-16-09, and took a pict. just in case. I realize this could of been a mistake on F.Biz's part but damn it was on the screen for almost 2 hours bfore they corrected it. Now it's back to normal at 9:35 AM. I called my brother-in-law about this, he's a Stock Broker of 20 yrs., he assured me it was probably only a glitch, but he would keep an eye out on Monday. I'll probably just get egg on face but just putting this out there.

You cannot post a link to a page that needs a password to be seen, like your e-mail inbox.

A bigger image would help.

NP, don't worry about it! So they cleared it up after a couple of hours huh? Did they ever say what the problem ended up being? Just a computer glitch?

Also, if you intend to show images in a thread, it is better to resize the image to 600 or less pixels wide so the entire image can be seen.

Nobody said anything on the news, just one of those "we'll fix it and move on without mention" things.

I think it was just a mistake with the value, if you look at some finances sites you will see that they all show the same values for the NASDAQ and S&P that appear on the screen, and the difference between the real DOW value and the one that appears on the screen is consistent with the values shown by other sources.

Remember that even if there is something planned they can never know precisely how markets react.

Thanks for the info, it is kinda strange to see those DOW numbers..

and if they were up for a couple of hours, I wonder how many people saw that and could possibly make reactionary market moves?

The market has been kind of stagnant lately, so maybe a little convenient glitch to spark some activity?

Who knows, but you know us CTers, always seeing something sneaky in everything :

Now that it's on the net, the market will be flying high on Monday. But if nobody caught the mistake, who knows..

If, on monday, the DOW drops 371 points, I am selling my stuff, and moving my family to a cave somewhere.

It would be the revelation to all that we have been right, MSM is in control, and that the PTB really do control everything.

On the other hand, if it doesn't, then I will live like I have always lived.

Hiding under my desk, and being afraid of clowns, loud noises, and the dark.
