Watch: At forum, white man destroys black woman's Rosa Parks sign, woman is escored out

rawstory.com

As if the health care debate were not out-of-control already ... This one's sure to get your blood boiling.

At Sen. Claire McCaskill's health care forum on Wednesday, reports surfaced of an angry, black woman being removed from the meeting. Video showed a woman being escorted out of the town hall by a number of white police officers, drawing a wave of cheers from the crowd.

But, this is a case where initial reports and even video simply did not show What Really Happened.

This video was pieced together by Democratic strategist Peter Glickert, who posts on the Hating Not Debating blog

Here is the video of a black woman being removed from a town hall meeting after her sign is destroyed by another angry white guy.

The video is great in that it shows what was reported by the Mainstream Media and then what actually happened!

The woman's poster was of civil rights icon Rosa Parks. As you can see in the video, it was rolled up and placed in a chair in front of her. When she reached for it, that was just too much for one wingnut. He stole the sign from her, then apparently tore and and crumpled it up.

And the audience cheers her removal.

What was the purpose of the Rosa Parks sign?

Yes sir, they're nothing but a bunch of "patriotic" Americans! They're just concerned about "all" Americans, by which they mean those who share their sick, twisted, f*****y worldview.

I can't wait to see who here on ATS calls this woman and the man who ripped up the sign left-wing plants aimed at making the protests look like a bastion for far right politics.

EDIT: As someone who shares conservative political and economic views and believes the health care project to be an utter disaster, I have to say I have had it with these people who are attempting to tear this country apart. They compare Obama to Hitler, but any examination of history will show it was people like teabaggers and the "screamers" at these townhall meetings that formed the manpower for the right-wing fascist movement that put Hitler and the Nazis into power.

I cannot wait to see who becomes America's Hitler.

I don't know what to say. I feel bad for the woman...she obviously didn't start it. When the police see her about ready to attack someone she is escorted out. I don't think the police are racist here, but the person who tore her sign up...that seems really stupid to me.

Don’t try to spin this please.
The guy that took the poster was removed, Really you all should read this article! It is insane to me. and charged the woman was not charged nor arrested just escorted out. There was a no poster rule in fact as well.
DO I think that 3 cops were needed for this situation NO 2 officers were all that were needed imo one for each person.

Johnson rushed to retrieve it, and a rhubarb ensued. Police hauled away both individuals from the meeting but only Winfrey was arrested. He was held on suspicion of misdemeanor assault."

I'm with you. I have nothing against the cops, they did what they had to do - take the fight outside. But the man who started it - I've got different feelings for him.

Wow, I'm shocked.

Honestly, I'm a little surprised by all of this. I didn't think things had spiralled so far in your country so quickly.

What is the difference between her sign and the other ones? None of them were offensive, they were all just expressing an opinion and making a peaceful statement.

The only person who SHOULD have been escorted from that hall was the man who snatched her sign from her!
People around her saw that happen, and their inaction and failure to defend is blatant bigotry, based on either political allegiance or race.

I actually am now thinking that this Health Care Reform idea could be the one tipping point. It's consolidating sides, Democrat and Republican, and the Republican attitude seems inherantly racist simply because the man in the big seat happens to be black.

I thought it might come after the collapse of the financial markets, now I'm starting to think that this will be the debate that truly unravels American society and creates the next collapse of an empire.

So I guess the question is, who let the women in with a poster?

Also there is no reason for this guy to do what he did, but the MSM is aging it on by trying to demonize the protesters as racist and right-wing extremist. Still doesn't make what this guy did right, but there was no reason for her to have a sign, much less one of Rosa Parks.

The real question here is, "who acted stupidly"? Maybe we can discuss it like civilized adults over some cheap American beer which tastes like urine.

Edit: and before anyone reads this and says anything, if this had been a white lady I'd say the same thing. My problem with this is A MAN doing this to a women. Not a race thing.

I don't see the problem with a rosa parks sign BUT I don't see what it had to do with the town hall meeting. What the heck does race have to do with healthcare? I'm not going to say screw the cops, they were just doing their job, but *snip* that*snip* man that felt the need to rip up a sgn some women had. I'd like to see what would have happened if he'd dd that to a man. Oh, sorry I forgot, most these idiots *snip* would never do anything to someone who could handle them. Picking on women, what a loser.

BUT however even though I'm black I'm against the race card kind of. This is going to add more fuel to the fire with all the liberal news outlets calling everything racist.

Edit: and mod sorry for swearing. But I didnt circumvent the censors in anyway, I see people doing it all the time as long as they don't circumvent. The one word I used to describe a weak person I didnt realize was considered a swear.

The guy that grabbed the sign was obviously in the wrong. But the lady knew damn well there was a no poster rule. She was the ONLY one in the entire audience that had a sign. I would have been pissed too at her. Come on! What the hell was she thinking? There was a no signs rule for a reason. A good one at that. Plus what the hell does Rosa Parks have to do with health care reform which I'm assuming was the point of the forum?

How did you get that from the MSM video?

The video from CNN simply showed the black woman being escorted out and the crowd cheering her removal. It didn't even show the white 'teabagger' who destroyed her sign.

The full video exposes that particular protester as a racist, right-wing extremist.

I don't know what's true but I'll take the posters at their word. That being said the problem with obama and his supporters is they want us to obey the rules and think they are above them.

Haha, first off that black woman was twice the size of that white guy. You ever seen a pissed off black woman? Trust me I knew plenty of black classmates in high school that could beat up your average guy. Poor woman? I think not. Still no man should assault a woman ever. But a pissed off obese black woman is no one to mess with. I bet she could have thumped him no problem.

The full video (which I guess you didn't see) showed a few individuals holding "don't tread on me" signs, who were approached by the police but then left alone and allowed to carry their signs.

Aww, you can smell the anti-white claims hidden all over this.

Not all cops are bad, but people assume from seeing selected videos.

You will not see a video of a cop treating a black youth in the ghetto nicely, why it goes against the stereotype, and it isn't something people would watch, no sensationalism.

I'm white, and i've had cops treat me very well, and my black friends very well.

I've also recently
had a white cop rip the piss out of me, for a very minor thing, and ruin a good chunk of my life, while he laughed how funny it was.

But I do remember all the good cops.

Their are good black people, and bad black people.

Their are good white people, and bad white people.

We have Hate groups on both sides, KKK, and Black Panthers, although the black panthers group has much more people in it, then the KKK could ever dream of!

Point being, we're all people. This Us vs. Them, is only slightly tolerable in Politics, it's really spreading in the color basis, and frankly it's pissing me off.

You who watch youtube videos, see the race wars spreading.

Black- You evil people pieces of (snip) (snip....) snitches and cowards.
White- Go back to africa if you like it so much and have to refer to yourself as an african. Aids having mofo.
Black- Absurd thing
White- Absurd thing
Black- False stereotype
White- False stereotype

It's sick, disgusting, and wasting space on youtube. Even the slightest video, is turned into a race battle.

Honestly, the country wasn't ready for a half black president, it wasn't, this isn't racist, this is honesty.

I don't know how to put all of this, without sounding like a racist, and have some 'THINK OF THE CHILDREN' type person come and bash me, but it's simple.

I'm a dude, you're a dude.

She's a girl, you're a girl.

One white man, (may of been a racist) and a few cops (rent a cops at that) said a few things in poor taste.

Think of all the white people there that didn't, that did the right thing, you won't see that video. You never will, Us. Vs. Them. Always.

Edit to add:Stereotypes are delusions, if you stereotype people, you can call it your own personal delusion. They often breed hatred, and violence. Yet because their delusions, people won't change their minds, and believe it till they die, or for religious people, for all of eternity.
