Yes lets pick giving everyone healthcare as the issue to get mad over. It works all around the world where they spend less money per person in many areas and are ranked at getting better coverage but I'm sure it would never work here.

I believe most people would be fine with healthcare reform...they are not fine with a complete government takeover and overhaul of the healthcare system.

Healthcare was not an issue like it is now.

Really?
People did not need healthcare then? Was there some magic cure we currently don't know about?

They didnt have insurance companies. they didnt have hospitals charging $100 bucks a bandaid.

That is because government was NOT involved in their lives from cradle to grave.

Since when did any right wing extremists believe in the constitution anyway?

I don't know about right wing extremists but I and people I know have always believed in the Constitution.

But I do know that libroids definitely don't believe in the Constitution as evident by their policies and beliefs.

We have to many selfish people in our nation.

Yes, we do. Those wanting something for nothing like healthcare is selfish. Why makes them believe they deserve my hard earned money?

Dont try and make it so the average Joe doesnt have to decide between feeding the kids and getting healthcare....no buddy thats socialism!

It's obvious you have no idea what socialism is by that retarded comment.

What kind of response is that? You flip it and say that MY "rhetoric" is typical, and then YOU turn it into another Dem/Rep--Liberal/Conservative thing. I mean
HELLO, it's pretty obvious that i'm not a fan of the 2 party system as a whole.

As far as you being more affected than anyone else on the board, that is a matter of opinion, and I could honestly careless what you have to say after
some of the idiotic comments that you have made. NOW, i'm done responding
to you, as you have nothing constructive or worthwhile to add to the conversation at hand.
Peace out girl scout!

I agree, I don't have healthcare, we do need something, but not all or nothing,

Something reasonable.

Americans Approve Of Town Hall Protesters

49% believe “that the protesting citizens are reflecting the concerns of [themselves and] their neighbors.”

Looks like that coordinated newpseak campaign from the White House and the MSM isn’t working out very well.

Obama Connected Group Calls for Brownshirt Tactics Against Healthcare Opponents

HCAN is supported by the usual suspects, including ACORN, unions, MoveOn.org (a George Soros outfit), the National Council of La Raza, the eugenics front Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the Clintonite John Podesta’s war-mongering Center for American Progress.

HCAN will organize brownshirt thugs — called “marshals” — to patrol crowds with local police assistance to make sure no opposition can be voiced

How awesomely hypocritical. You sit here and complain about "right wingers" and sayings its all staged and this and that, and you say it's both parties, but you take care to just mention and attack conservatives.

Here are people standing up to their representatives letting them know how they feel about how they are stripping away our liberties, then you have the audacity to post a thread complaining about how the government is stripping away your liberties.

Bravo, bravo..

I get it, it isn't the left wingers protesting so you can't stand it. So you are attempting to drive a further wedge to divide anymore.

Just a hint, this is regular everyday people protesting, conservative, liberal, democrat, republican, independent, they are all coming together to protest this government, and you can't even see it.

Thanks for the update burn!!!! That is some good news for sure, it shows
that alot of Americans are actually taking notice of what is happening in our
country more and more
If the White House continues pushing the whole
"organized mob" bit, it could potentially blow up in their faces on a very large scale. I am eagerly awaiting that :p

For some reason people have forgotten it isn't just republicans that have a issue with the government.

When did the posters on this forum become government lap dogs?

Sorry, preemptively removed before mod had to.

The best part, is I won't see his response to my post!

Focus on the ones you can educate. Save the ones you can! Leave the rest behind to slow the pursuit!

You were laughing about a topic that clearly illustrated a violation of our constitution, which i mentioned because a poster here said people are tired of the constitution being used as toilet paper, which is CLEARLY not the case. Only when it suits them. But you guys carry on with your false outrage, my point has been made.

So TPTB bring in Union Thugs. How long till someone gets shot?

The people protesting these events are not the lefty unemployed anarchist types we've all grown up with. These are our parents and grandparents, all people who've always had something better to do then engage the gov't (work, family, etc). This is the silent majority, waking up and making a stand against Marxism.

Government, be afraid.

These are the people that make a difference.

This entire tactic by the dem's and liberals regarding calling protesters mob's and nazi's is nothing but a scheme to divert attention from what is actually in the bill because there is no way to defend the contents.

Support for the bill was dropping fast because the content of the bill was being discussed so they decided to change the subject as to not actually discuss the bill itself.

Yes, that is the scary part! Most revolutions are youth movements, but this is one by middle-aged to retiree age! These people are the ones losing their retirements, suffering from healthcare reform, and seeing the great country that they fought for being legislated away from us!

This type of movement has the benefit of money and experience!! When these people are brushed aside and the youth stands up to support them, we will have full-scale riots on our hands.

I heard yesterday the median price of a home in Detroit was $7500!!!

Unemployment is still rising, but the MSM is reporting that the recession is over because it didn't rise as much as expected?? Rising is Rising is Rising! MORE people are without jobs, that is what counts! The housing crisis is worsening, estimates range from 60-80 % of mortgagees that are going to default! Towns in Florida have written new legislation to make banks pay for upkeep on foreclosed homes, because entire subdivisions are abandoned! The banks can't sell the homes and won't pay the fines, so the homes become property of the city for almost nothing! At the same time the homeless rate is skyrocketing.

Our troubles are just beginning!

Getting there.. slowly. Not there yet..

I believe the outrage at the bailouts (which was obviously bipartisan) was largely quiet because... it didn't directly effect the people.

This health care reform is going to change a lot of peoples lives... AND .. their wallets. Estimated at a 5-10% tax increase, with a new deduction quite similar to how SS, Medicare and Medicaid are removed from the paycheck pre-tax. Even now the administration is telling us the wealthy will pay for all of it. We know thats a bunch of BS.

I think it's only a matter of time before people get REALLY mad...

Ron Paul's biggest financial supporters (which broke every record there was, including smallest average donation) were college aged 20's to 30's.

You just are not going to hear from my generation yet.. we are still posting our anger online, and have not felt the need to venture outside yet. A product of our upbringing, I suppose.

Just a couple of things to add then off I go.......

1) Our "leaders" are making law and trying to make laws that the don't have the power to do.
2) This health care issue is simple, for it to be a "good thing" it needs to move very slow. Assuring heath care when between jobs for instance...or when needing care for a previous injury or illness?

STOP THERE.......think it over and move on...but don't take over the entire industry! Look at the track record and know they don't give a POOP! They have there healthcare..........and won't give it up. Does anyone have a way to put up OUR congress health program? They need to be subjected to the same rules as "WE THE PEOPLE". In closing, why the FUDGE........are people from other nations voicing there thoughts about my nations health care? Canada maybe...because it is our "bro" and we compare because of it's system.

The rest of you....find a subject elsewhere!

PISSED OFF AT THE CONGRESS AND WORKIN IT ON A FEW OF YOU!

LOL......enjoy people(I do have insurance, it doesn't do me alot of good and I pay for it to).

Rock on

Enigma
....

Great thread!

Yes it is only a matter of time. There should be more outrage!

Just look at what Pelosi will so this August to gather more money to try to force the totalitarian agenda down our throat!

I do not ususally have such disgust with ladys...but she is a peice of work!

Now, Nancy Pelosi, the repulsive, arrogant _ that she is, has likened the middle class resistance to her socialist-fascist agenda as an “astroturf” movement. Ha Ha. She didn’t like the very appropriate swastikas stuck in her face as she tries to ram her perverted health care plan down our collective throats.

Pelosi will spend next weekend quietly tending to top party donors and political allies at a series of private events in Northern California.

The two-day “issues conference” starts next Friday night with a dinner for roughly 170 guests on the back lawn of Pelosi’s multimillion-dollar home in the fashionable Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco.

The following day, Pelosi will shepherd her guests to a Napa Valley winery with buildings designed by world-famous architect Frank Gehry; the speaker and her husband, investor Paul Pelosi, own a nearby vineyard worth between $5 million and $25 million, according to her annual financial disclosure report.

…To be invited, one must have raised money for the DCCC, been a longtime friend of Pelosi’s or contributed $30,4000 to the DCCC this cycle
url

Oh..she is such a caring person...why she wants all the whole world to live like her...and have such richness! See...she wants everyone to have "free" healthcare...

See?
