You know, the messed up thing is that as much as that is true, we won't let that be what it is.

Let's take a look at the machinations ...

For example ...

I have many friends that voted for BO. Today, as we sit here many of them are disillusioned. They want a way out, they want to express that, but they don't.

Why?

Because the other side is pushing to freakin' hard!

By taking more time to attack him than to just let him succeed/fail on his own they ensure that the folks that voted for him will defend him just out of pride and spite. Btw, same thing happened the last 8 years with Bush. A whole demographic of conservatives defended him out of reactionary defense mechanism and not because they endorsed him.

So this is the consequence ...

We are pitted against each other so that we are polemic, divided, and hyped, instead of calling what is what it is.

Such is "the play" ... such is their intention ...

Divide and Conquer is their motto as one documentary claims.

The ppl who wrote "Limits to Growth" read Machiavelli and so they
use some of his tactics in their social psychology.

The ppl in the Club of Rome, Committee of 300, Bilderberg
and so on, know it is best if the masses are kept busy with other
distractions, and so it goes.

Let's take a look at the machinations ...

I have watched many BO fans here as well, who simply wanted some way out of the GWB mess and now find themselves in a different mess... change is not always a good thing, as many have found out. But then we have the McSame crowd jeering every slip Obama makes, no matter how insignificant. That does nothing more then polarize.

I voted for Obama. I despise the man now. But that does not mean I will switch back to the hard-line right wing. I believe I speak for a silent majority when I say

"JUST RUN THE DAMN COUNTRY AND LEAVE US BE!"

Unfortunately, the vast majority of humans cannot accept a jeering opposition, prefering to cling helplessly to their 'side'.

Oh, cool! The trapeze artists are up next. Wheat loaves anyone?

And there's the rub ...

The play:

Make the populace choose between two false choices.

(btw, not for nothing but ... every single POTUS candidate that I can remember has run the back of 'change' ... easier than selling depressing lyrics to teenagers ... depeche mode/new order level stuff.)

The gameplan:

Distract us enough to believe in that false dichotomy,

I heart you too.

When I'm pondering these deep societal/philosophical questions, SDog, I just ask myself: "What would Powder do?"

Vacation? I missed you saying that. Travel safely, if you're travelling.
