How did you determine earthquakes would be coming from lights in the sky?
My business is geophysical exploration.
This is a phenomenon which I have witnessed in some rare instances.
'Lights in the sky' stories often accompany earthquakes,
both as precursors as well as after-effects.
Seismic stresses can, dependent upon geological composition,
release ionizing pulses into the atmosphere.
The subsequent behaviour of ionized atmosphere confuses the general public.
Interpreting the lights as UFOs is an amusing tendency, anyway.
Besides creating strange lights, seismic stresses also create noises, em pulses, and other events.
Note that there is a lot more to this than it appears.
Lights and other such events can accompany seismic stress relieved without creating earthquakes.
The anomalies and the earthquakes do not necessarily require each other.
But, where you find one the probability is high that the other will also occur.
First, I noticed the Iranian UFO story
Next, checking the records, I saw that Iran was due for another significant jolt.
The baffling lights story indicated that the time was approaching.
If it were only that easy all the time....
