I totally agree...
For many traveling is simply not a possibility for various reasons. Financial, work related commitments etc. However an open mind is the next best
thing. [For Example] I was very surprised to find that many here at ATS were "Surprised" to find out that Iran was a modern looking country in
another thread. The thread poster showed some pictures of modern Iran, Meanwhile in the preceding weeks during the riots there were plenty of video
available that clearly showed a modern city and culture in the background.
When discussing situations or conflicts in other countries it's my duty to learn and inform myself about that location, country or culture so I have
a good bearing on the situations. Not only that but it seems to me that it's important no, actually crucial for global social advancement and
respect.
