I dont think any pros are participating. Your track sounds fine...sounds like you invested some time in it. Go ahead and enter....(in my opinion only)

I was actually hoping to judge, and I haven't heard back yet one way or another so I'll compromise.

If I don't get a judge spot I will enter it.

I'm in exactly the same boat as you foffstarr... I love and enjoy music but when it comes to reading it or bars quavers and double hip drop loops on the fly, i got no idea..

What i've got is as you describe.. 'look what i can do with this'... I dont have the kit or tools to do full finalising, but it is the atmosphere in the mood of the tracks that I am trying to focus on rather than a perfect song.. although both would be nice..

Here is my track!

Two more to go...

This one needs updating next week with guitar and vocals!

Alein - The Shade

Enjoy...

WWhhheeeeeeeeeee..... loads of fun

Well, here's my effort.. all three songs... and as you'll see, they tie in with each other.. so it's an abreviated album really

ATSMC1 The Wrath of the Star riders

I used JamStudio online to lay the majority of the tracks and to help me get the feel of what I was supposed to be getting..

Then i grabbed a few little extra free sounds readily available from the net.. and slotted it all together with Magix music maker basic

Simples

Can anyone guess what major piece of music influenced me to create these in this manner?

You dont sound as if you`re a beginner who did this from scratch

Anyway...it does not take a genius to realize its Star Wars inspired.

Nice work.

Thanks for the compliment... but I really have not done this before.. like i said in an earlier post, i got a good ear for music but no idea about writing it..

And no, it's not Star Wars
Try again

Yours has a touch of '2001 a space odysey' about it

Star wars is a film with a soundtrack.. my influence is purely musical...

Hope, I understood everything right. Feel a little lost right now.

I post my little dragonfly song here, to see, if this was the way it was meant to be:

Hi Siddharta I edited the link in your post above because it would play automatically.

If this is the music you wish to enter you must create a new separate thread in the music forum All entries must contain (ATSMC1) as part of the title.

Then post the title, words and the link in this thread.

U2U me if you have any problems.

Thanks for your help Sauron!

No, I don't want to use this song, I just tried, how things work with that one. But I did not think, that an old traditional melody could be against the rules.

I will delete it immediately.

I don't know how to transfer a specific cut from our site to the media site so here is our stuff anyway. I know this will not enter me in the contest but at least we get some exposure.

Some technical help would be appreciated on the media transfer.

www.soundclick.com...

"Time Will Come" is the cut I would have chosen.

We are professional musicians so that probably would have disqualified us any way.

Cheers SF!

For the 'sci-fi-retro-sound', I dialed up an approximation of a Theremin tone on the MS2000, added some portamento and linked the first oscillator pitch to a high rate LFO for the vibrato effect. Finally, I padded it out with some light strings. Glad you liked it mate!

In order to enter it for the contest just upload it to "My Media" at "Video & Media". Then create a thread (like we did) on BTS and post the links here.

I´ll give it a listen once its entered
