The only American aircraft.

The Soviets placed a lot more focus on getting aircraft to operate from rough fields and unprepared fields.

In my opinion it made a helluva lot of sense, since any semi-competent army/airforce/navy can crater a runway.

Admittedly, I think they've taken a step away from this with the MiG-35 & Su-thisweek - as both original airframes had substantial measures to protect the engines from FOD on unprepared fields.

(I don't think either Fulcrum or FlankerB were equal to the rough field capabilties of the Flogger)

I didn't seriously see the need to put AMERICAN aircraft in there, considering in the same sentence he was talking about damaged or unpaved airstrips he talked about the F-22. Being that the US is the only operator, I felt that it was pretty clear that he and I were both only talking about AMERICAN aircraft.
