That basically sums up what I feel...is it just..something being done because we have so much new weaponry/technology or something, and nations just really really wanna!! or need to test this stuff, or whatever, or is there cause to think ww3 is coming up shortly...

This was a response saying they are not going to stop their tests, and they are not going to stop making new WMD weapons.

The Russian government didn't go along with Obama, they didn't embrace him, and started crying "yes, let's do it, give me a hug Obama"... instead they just looked at him like the fool he is and did this test, which is a response.

And BTW, you are the same guy that started cheering and claiming that the economic crisis was solved already in the first upturn you saw....

So I guess you think that while the economy can be solved in one upturn, that the Russians, can't give an honest response, and stop their tests as a sign that they "might" stop with their weapon build up as a response to Obama asking them all to hug him, and start singing along songs of peace?...

Neither the Russians, nor the Chinese, nor the North Koreans, nor Iran, will on their own, either stop testing for new ICBMs, or the old in the case of Russia, China, and north Korea to mention a few.

Neither will the US, so what's your point exactly?

Every military in the world tests their new toys to make sure they work. It's called R&D.

Meanwhile the Obama team are going to disarm the United States, militarily, and also most of the civilians,

America spends more on it's military budget than the rest of the world combined.

It could use a little trimming. Even with what Obama is proposing it won't make a dent in America's deterrent capability or power projection.

He will reduce current ICBM stockpiles, over a LONG period of time, AS LONG AS everyone else does too.

Do you see the difference? No sane nation needs the destructive capability to blow the world up 39 times over.

To REDUCE EXISTING stockpiles. Not to stop testing, not to stop R&D, but to reduce the actual number they have altogether.

Russia has been testing the Topol since 2006. This is not a response to Obama.

It's a regularly timed event. Russia's tests are perfectly legal, always within Russian territory and pose no danger to anyone.
