I remember one of these threads going when I first joined ATS.

I've met a couple (2) people who get compensated for being in Hiroshima and being exposed to radiation. If atomic bombs are not real, they have quite a scam going.

YES they are real.

And my country is the only country in the world that has to live with the fact that we have nuked another country.

I have a grandfather who was part of the occupation force in Japan after WWII. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were plastered. They were not pretty places to visit he said.

Funny he wouldn't talk about his combat experiences. Most WWII vets don't but he made Damn sure that us kids knew about what the bomb could do and expressed his deepest desires for the world to never see that horror again!

They are "only" little "poof poof" things now,
not used "alone" anymore.

It was "dirty" bombs, radiation wise. . .

The "A" explosive/explosion is now only the
"detonator" of the BIG **H** bomb !

A relative of mine, alive and well today, was a paratrooper who fought his way through the Pacific war and was part of the occupying force in Japan. He saw Nagasaki and Hiroshima. His point of view is very different from that of your Grandfather (God bless his soul).

This relative of mine saw very, very difficult combat with much filth, disease, brutality, hopelessness and little mercy on either side. But I could sum up his attitude toward the Atom Bombs as "Justice." The behavior he witnessed on the part of the Japanese left him with no qualms about doing whatever was necessary to completely break the Japanese Empire and culture.

Oh He mentioned the resolve of the troops and was very realistic about the day to day misery, and I can completely understand the mentality of that period.

Utube is certainly entertaining. Video games are entertaining.
There are better sources for information.

Considering Japan had no intention of surrendering.
We warned them we had the “bomb”
Japan did not believe us until we dropped them.
Japan surrendered.

If that does not do it for you, fallout has the bomb.
And Fallout is much better than GTA

Dude, that is not real. It is a big air ballon with a huge light bulb in it.

Of course atom bombs are real. Deny ignorance and stop posting up questions that can be easily answered by using your favorite search engine.
