Russia's Medvedev hails 'comrade' Obama

sg.news.yahoo.com

"I liked the talks. It is easy to talk to him. He can listen. The start of this relationship is good," he said, adding: "Today it's a totally different situation (compared to Bush)... This suits me quite well."

In their London talks, Obama and Medvedev launched a milestone quest to slash their nuclear arsenals, hoping to reverse the worst slump in the former foes' ties since the end of the Cold War.

The pair also discussed thorny issues including NATO's eastwards expansion, long opposed by Moscow which sees it as a power-grab by the West's former Cold War-era military bloc into former Soviet territory.

And here comes the disarmament of the U.S. meanwhile our would be enemies expand their militaries.

The Russian president, and their government cannot be trusted. They will not disarm even one nuclear missile, although they might claim, and seem to do it, this is a sign of weakness, and the Russians will not do it.

This will only achieve the disarmament of the U.S. as part of the agenda to disarm us militarily, as well as disarming all law abiding citizens.

Of course the Russian regime likes President Obama, Comrad Obama is implementing Socialist/Communist ideals which are en par with other Communist regimes.

WON'T SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN??

Gee, people sure have been quite heavy-handed on the Senationalism-o-meter today.

Russia's President gives Obama a warm reception and suddenly neo-cons everywhere need a change of pants.

The way you people magically pull things out of thin air, and try to link issues that have absolutely no connection between them I find astounding.

Especially the way you can take an overall positive outlook on US-Russian relations and give it a negative spin.

What does Russia have to do to earn your trust exactly? Lick your ass?

Because of course America has given Russia so many reasons to trust them!

They supported a fanatical despot, Mikhail Saakashvili, against the Russians in a war Saakashvili instigated by shooting down Russian aircraft over Russian airspace.

Condolezza Rice then ironically claimed Russia cannot just invade other countries without "proper justification". (You need to at least make it up, like in Iraq.)

Then you set up the European "Missile Shield", a fancy term for the Iron Curtain, under the cover of protecting against "rogue missile launches".

Then you ring Russia with NATO bases and try and coerce Estonia, Latvia, Georgia and Ukraine into NATO membership, while claiming Russia is committing war crimes against it's own people in South Ossetia.

Then you blame Russia's sale of SAM missiles to Iran will promote instability within the Middle East, not taking into account of course America's $6.4 billion dollars of "military aid" per year given to Israel, who indiscriminately proceeded to massacre Gazan civilians in 2009.

Oh Russia! Shame on you!

Unfortunately, you are right, and we are witnessing the total destruction of the Republic, with the implementation of Socialist/Communist agendas, and programs, and the Obama fans will cheer for the destruction of the Republic, like blind puppets who believe their saviour can do them no harm, and wants everything good for them...

Obama's claim of a "nuclear free" world is nothing but a personal dream. Weapon control treaties are treated in Moscow as a means to disarm opponents without actual conflict. This is not a biased Western view, but one based on historical fact which dates back decades. The Joint Chiefs of Staff would all resign, so would many other Defense officials should Obama seek to further weaken the US nuclear arsenal with no future plans for upgrade... so long as others posses nuclear weapons.

Keep your sexual fantasies to yourself, they have nothing to do with a discussion such as this.

Apparently according to you people must think like you, and of course, since you seem to be an Obama fan, you must think it is great that he is implementing, and adopting Socialist/Communist programs in the U.S.

What does Russia need to do to earn our trust?...

Let's see....they gave away our troops positions, and plans to Saddam's regime, meanwhile declaring to the world, and to lame brains including inside the U.S. who swallowed the lies just like you apparenlty have done, that the U.S. shouldn't have been in Iraq, but then they had to declare that the Russian intelligence services were giving information and evidence to the U.S. about Saddam making plans to make terrorist attacks in U.S. soil, and U.S. interests for years since 9/11....

They have been murdering Russian reporters who were critical of the Russian government, and showing evidence of the corruption that was, and is still present in Russia..

They murdered even people outside Russia, who were Russian citizens, such as Alexander Litivenko for exposing the murdering spree the Russian government was, and still is doing...

And you ask what does Russia have to do for us to trust them?.... Are you insane?

And you actually think that all those countries that chose to be members of NATO were coerced, and did not act of their own free will?...

I guess according to you the Czech Republic, and Poland among other former U.S.S.R. slave states, love Communist Russia, and would love to get back into the fold heh?...

They must have loved the fact that Russia cut off the much needed gas in the depth of winter, meanwhile many people were freezing because little Russia wanted more money, and didn't care if people were freezing to death...

Remind me, oh psychic one, when did we find WMD's in Iraq, with which Saddam was supposedly going to attack the US with?

When did we come across any evidence of Saddam's link to terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda?

You are aware that your own government has admitted the jig is up? So you might want to stop spreading those misconceptions so haphazardly:

And you actually think that all those countries that chose to be members of NATO were coerced, and did not act of their own free will?

How do you think the United States makes friends around the world with such a horridly low reputation?

You think being a part of NATO is a plus for them somehow? Having US soldiers goose-stepping all over their military bases and missiles being propped up next to their cities?

They know if they don't accept NATO membership all their Western European friends in the EU, who have been NATO lapdogs since the 1950's will cut them off economically and deny them trade rights, flow of capital, no standing on policy decisions, hell even membership (precisely why Ukraine, Belarus, and Norway are not part of the EU, because of their refusal to accept NATO).

I guess according to you the Czech Republic, and Poland among other former U.S.S.R. slave states, love Communist Russia, and would love to get back into the fold heh?...

Yeah, and the fact that the United States has dragged their US-valued stocks and bonds into hell with their financial institution's unbridled greed.
That too.

Nothing like waking up one day to find out all your American-dollar valued stocks on the share market have dropped 500 points.

Comrade is Russian for FRIEND. Establishing friendly diplomatic relations is the first step to avoiding conflict. This is truly a great step, its really refreshing to see leaders from our very different nations getting along so well.

People who believe this load of crap must seriously be lacking in terms of entertainment, because entertainment is the sole purpose I can see as to why anyone would make this BS up.

You want entertainment, go to the movies. Reality is that there is no master conspiracy by Russia to take advantage of Obama and the US. Both US and Russia are up to their neck in economic problems, and both currently have only one primary concern - to fix their economies and to help out their people. In order to achieve that, US, Russia, and every other country will need to work together to sort out the financial mess and to get on the road to recovery.

And it just so happens that soured relations (courtesy of Bush and team) stand in the way of such economic cooperation. Both countries are interested to see their relations improve and to put the past issues behind them.

So what is so bad about Medvedev holding enthusiastic dialogue with Obama and Obama doing the same? Or would you rather Obama throw a hissy-fit and call Russia "supporters of terrureests" and "enemy of demoocracy" and then have a sabre rattling match with Medvedev to see who has a longer you know what? Time to put children's games behind us.

Russia 'gave Saddam intelligence on invasion'
By Robert Burns
Saturday, 25 March 2006

The Russian government collected intelligence from sources inside the American military command as the US mounted the invasion of Iraq, and the Russians fed information to deposed President Saddam Hussein on troop movements and plans, according to Iraqi documents cited in a Pentagon report released Friday.

The Russians relayed information to Saddam during the opening days of the war in late March and early April 2003, including a crucial time before the ground assault on Baghdad, according to the documents.

The unclassified report does not assess the value of the information or provide details beyond citing two captured Iraqi documents that say the Russians collected information from sources "inside the American Central Command" and that battlefield intelligence was provided to Saddam through the Russian ambassador in Baghdad.

Putin says Iraq planned US attack

Surprise remarks

Speaking on a visit to Kazakhstan, Mr Putin said Russia had warned the US on several occasions that Iraq was planning "terrorist attacks" on its soil.

"After the events of 11 September 2001, and before the start of the military operation in Iraq, Russian special services several times received such information and passed it on to their American colleagues," he told reporters.

He said the information received by Russian intelligence suggested Iraq was planning attacks in the United States, "and beyond its borders on American military and civilian targets".

But he said it did not change Russia's opposition to the war in Iraq.

The man pictured below is Hisham al Hussein, the former second secretary at Iraq’s embassy in Manila.

Deported Iraqi diplomat Hisham al Hussein

The Philippine government expelled him on February 13, 2003, just five weeks before the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cell phone records indicate he had spoken with Abu Madja and Hamsiraji Sali, two leaders of Abu Sayyaf, al-Qaeda’s de facto franchise for the Philippines. The timing was particularly suspicious, as he had been in contact with the Abu Sayyaf terrorists just before and after they conducted an attack in Zamboanga City.

Oh, and let's not forget another of the "non-existant evidence" that some want to make dissapear...

Spain links suspect in 9/11 plot to Baghdad

An alleged terrorist accused of helping the 11 September conspirators was invited to a party by the Iraqi ambassador to Spain under his al-Qaeda nom de guerre, according to documents seized by Spanish investigators.
Yusuf Galan, who was photographed being trained at a camp run by Osama bin Laden, is now in jail, awaiting trial in Madrid. The indictment against him, drawn up by investigating judge Baltasar Garzon, claims he was 'directly involved with the preparation and carrying out of the attacks ... by the suicide pilots on 11 September'.

Evidence of Galan's links with Iraqi government officials came to light only recently, as investigators pored through more than 40,000 pages of documents seized in raids at the homes of Galan and seven alleged co-conspirators. The Spanish authorities have supplied copies to lawyers in America, and this week the documents will form part of a dossier to be filed in a federal court in Washington, claiming damages of approximately $100 billion on behalf of more than 2,500 11 September victims.
...........

www.guardian.co.uk...

But it must not be true....

I also wonder why Iraqi military officials would claim that it was true that Saddam had wmd before and during the war in Iraq. I guess they must also be "right wingers" making up stories, even though these people were as an example second in command of the Iraqi Air Force Georges Sada, who even wrote a book on how wmd were smuggled out by the regime with the help of the Russians... and of course who is to forget the high Ranking Russian military defectors that told the same story?.... They must all be "right wingers" and made all of this up...

We even had one U.S. official give statements that there was evidence that the Russians were behind the dissapearance of the WMD, and the response from the U.S. government was to fire him for revealing information he shouldn't have given....

But hey, let's dismiss all of this and continue to allow the U.S. Republic from being destroyed, and given over to an international Corporation, forever destroying our Sovereingty.

Not judging by the lack of stars your posts have and your severely degraded argumentative capacity, which revolves around childish "sexual jokes" aimed at me.

I love the way you dodged almost every point of mine that was too hard for you refute:
- Such as the EU leveraging economical sanctions over state who refuse to join NATO.
- And the fact that NATO is just another Cold War remnant with the same Imperialistic ambitions as Russia's CIS-bloc.
-And America's role in destabilising the economies of Eastern Europe through US capital inflows and bonds, which are now worth nothing.

Very noble.
Keep pretending nobody's noticing the fact your conceding half your arguments.

More of your sexual fantasies that have nothing to do with the discussion in this thread.

"Oh my gosh! He said RECTUM! hehehehe.

Do you feel better now?

I guess I must have made that up. I must be all powerful, and made Putin state this.

You didn't make it up, but you fail to properly analyse your hastily "googled" sources:

Mr Putin said he had no information the Iraqi ex-leader was behind any attacks.

news.bbc.co.uk...

That's from your source.

This is also from your sources:

“I never believed in the link between Saddam Hussein, Osama bin Laden, al-Qaeda and Islamist terrorism,” former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright flatly declared in an October 21, 2003 essay published in Australia’s Melbourne Herald Sun.

“Iraq was not a breeding ground for terrorism. Our invasion has made it one,” Senator Ted Kennedy said October 16, 2003.2 “We were told Iraq was attracting terrorists from Al Qaeda. It was not.”

“As we all know by now,” Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen sniffed last May, “there was never a proven link between Saddam, al-Qaida or even the Crips.” 3

In August 2003, former vice president Albert Gore reassuringly stated: “The evidence now shows clearly that Saddam did not want to work with Osama bin Laden at all.”

"Iraq was not a terrorist haven before the invasion," 5 Democratic candidate John Kerry told Philadelphia voters September 24. At the September 30, 2004 presidential debate, Kerry asserted, "Iraq was not even close to the center of the War on Terror before the president invaded it."

www.husseinandterror.com...

You may want to read these articles thoroughly before jumping to conclusions.

Your miserable attempt to link Saddam Hussein, a well-known secularist and staunch opponent of radical Islam (because it threatened his unbridled control over his people) to every terrorist group in the world via some lame-duck, independent blog is laughable.

Osama Bin Laden himself, was noted in his opposition of Saddam Hussein:

Hamid Mir, bin Laden's Pakistani biographer, spoke to him in 1997: He condemned Saddam Hussein in my interview. He gave such kind of abuses that it was very difficult for me to write, [calling Hussein a] socialist mother#er. [He said], "The land of the Arab world, the land is like a mother, and Saddam Hussein is #ing his mother." He also explained that Saddam Hussein is against us, and he discourages Iraqi boys to come to Afghanistan.

www.peterbergen.com...

Yep, to stop the minority from yelling their lungs out

Well you said one correct thing there and that is the word "minority".

As in, apart from the utterly deranged, who still cling to the hope that WMD's will be unearthed in Iraq someday, no one is seriously still adhering to the notion Iraq had WMD's prior to 2003; despite the fact 8 years of searching has turned up nothing.

You are manking nothing more than ignorant remarks since you have no argument agaisnt the fact that these former Russian slave states do not want to be under the iron yoke of Communist Russia once again.

So that means they have to be under the Iron Yoke of the United States and her Imperialistic Hegemony?

Sheesh, READ what I said: "They should all be free to dictate their own fate, instead of being used as lackeys for the United States or Russia to move around on a geo-political chessboard. Duh."

I happen to be of Spanish descent, I speak Spanish, as well as Portuguese and lived in Spain, and Portugal, and the word Comrade is not Spanish...

You may want to brush up on your native language then my naive friend:

c.1591, from M.Fr. camarade, from Sp. camarada "chamber mate," originally "chamberful," In Sp., a collective noun referring to one's company. In 17c., sometimes jocularly misspelled comrogue.

www.etymonline.com...

I also wonder why Iraqi military officials would claim that it was true that Saddam had wmd before and during the war in Iraq.

I'm more interested to know why you feel it is your credibility is automatically proven on here without you sourcing half the nonsense you claim is true?

We even had one U.S. official give statements that there was evidence that the Russians were behind the dissapearance of the WMD, and the response from the U.S. government was to fire him for revealing information he shouldn't have given....

Sure we did.
An unamed, unknown official saying god's know what, god's know when.

You know my sister's, cat's, cousin's, father's friend of a friend also told me that story too, so I suppose it must be verifiable.

Somehow to you any random blog, journal, news article or rumour that supports your "Russia aided Saddam" theory is 100% credible, but you refuse to accepts the judgements of your own government in a war they started and accept responsibility for.

And I'm the one "fantasising" here.
