Fox News, Lets Burn It Down!

Fox News is a great example of evil corrupt brainwashing grabage that needs to be off the air. I'd hate to imagine the next generation of children who grew up watching fox, god help those poor souls.

The reason I think fox should be off the air forever is because fox is full of crap and everybody knows it but they watch it anyway, like good little sheeple.

I want to start a movement, the "Burn Down Fox" movement. Together we can bring down this monstrocity news channel!

Let's also burn down the liberal media too and any of the biased news network. We can start a new revolution in broadcasting! Let's do it.

It's is called free speech. Fox News and MSNBC have a right to coexist. If one does not like the content, one can pick from the several hundred channels available to them (or over sixty analog channels).

Have you considered many of the fans of Fox are liberals who like to yell at their TVs? My grandfather used to watch the local news just to do that. He would cuss up a storm and hated everyone and everything shown, but he really enjoyed it.

So pretty much the OP thinks that only his own beliefs should be shown in tv. Humm, that would be a dictatorship, but apparently for soe people unless everyone else bows down to this one person, or group of people's beliefs then everyone else is a sheep. We gotcha.

No, I think stations that promote political brainwashing should be cancelled, like fox.

The only political brainwashing that is possible is that which is aimed at the victims of outcome based education; those who have secured their political beliefs in core principles based on more than a casual preview of classical western, American history and personal religious (to include lack thereof) beliefs need not fear indoctrination. Such is the affliction of the weak minded politically correct only.

Fox News supplies a much-needed balance to the rabid President Obama cheerleading statist propaganda espoused by the other networks. There is currently raging a life and death struggle for the heart and soul of America, and they are the only news outlet providing any in depth coverage of the growing rage against the socializing of these United States.

Here here! You're completely right. So many watchers of fox news and listerners of Rush Limbaugh are people who totally hate them and listen just to get angry. It's quite funny.

Personally I hate Keith Olbermann but I can't make it through more than 30 seconds without having to change the channel.

p.s. So I guess the OP must really hate MSNBC too, since it's all pandering to a certain group. But like SGTChas said, it's only brainwashing if your opinions aren't very solid to begin with and you just need to be told what to believe.

Fox has to lean to one side because all the other big news networks go the other way. On CNN since Glen Beck had a different view of Obama than the rest of the network they canned him when his contract was up.

There has not been unbiased media in America since Ben Frankiln died and even he pushed the revolution issue with complete bias so I guess there has never been any 100% unbiased media.

I you are gonna burn down Fox News for being a broadcaster that supports the right then you will definitely have to get rid of CNN which has always catered to

Keith Olbermann does get on my nerves to. It is not him alone, but the way his show is set up. I do think he has a sense of humor, and really liked Ben Affleck's impersonation of him on SNL.

I really like Rachel Maddow, who follows Keith. Ms Maddow is very graceful to her guests even when she disagrees with them. She is unabashedly liberal/progressive, but does have a growing amount of conservatives who are appearing on her show. She also does not yell in her interviews, which is a big turnoff to me.

I used to watch Bill O'Reilly, but when he kept saying he was not Republican and was fair and balanced, I stopped watching it. When they start to believe the BS they spout, it is no longer fun.

I wonder why people think the corporate owned stations of Time Warner, GE, News Corp, Disney and National Amusements are all left or right wing? They all cut out important news, and one has to look to find the misbehavior of the politicians from both parties. GE has nixed many reports on NBC News that were critical to the company. Disney has turned its news division into an advertisement for its theme parks and movies. Time Warner also wants many favors from Washington, so they keep CNN (Celebrity News Network) on a leash. CBS News also is part of a huge media conglomerate that also wants favors, so its news division is more interested in entertainment.

It really upsets me when the media is called liberal, as they are not when one actually watches what gets reported. They are the pro corporate shills they have always been.

For me the key has always been to educate myself as much as possible on the issues so I can watch, read or listen to anything and be able to tell which point of view the rhetoric is coming from.
I choose not to let myself be swayed by someone else's opinion.

Any reason you find them "full of crap" other than you disagree with them?

I could make the exact same claims against every other mainstream liberal news network. (CNN, MSNBC, ABC etc.)

Through the greed of wall Street, political stupidity of Congressman Barney Frank and others who fought regulation of Fanny May and Freddy Mac (forcing banks to make sub prime loans to the less than qualified), George W’s trashing of the Constitution to fight wars for the safety of multinational corporations and now our Obama’nation, our Beautiful American experiment is being turned into the United Socialist States. While we argue over the value of the particulars of a given network’s propaganda quantity, the America I have bled for, and so many have died for, is being bit by bit dismantled.

Personally CNN ought to be burned down first and foremost.

FOX is actually pretty gutsy and independent compared with most UK channels and a fair few US ones.
At least at FOX theres a positive vibe and aspect, ad libings encouraged (or at least seems to be) and it's well presented.
Don't take them seriously, listen and take the positive sides to it home, not the negative.
They do pss me off when it comes to the puritanical mentality on certain issues like video games and a general prudish stance on stuff. They need to be a bit more free-wheeling. This is what leaves them wide open for criticism.
However take the other side of the coin.

CNN seems filled with left-wing agenda's and creepy manipulations and so on.
Replace the C with a U and take off the last capital N and what do you have...

here is where i let the gov. profile me.

Burn them all down.
