Okay, so it's now illegal for the U.S. to be providing funds to Israel.

The question is.... will it stop?

Just imagine if this caused a movement of some sort, where tens of thousands in many states would protest on this basis that it's illegal to continue to fund Israel. JUST IMAGINE!

Everyone is going crazy that Iran maybe have ONE nuclear warhead while these guys have it in the hundreds.

But this is not a secret.. never has been.. it is one thing to supply Israel with weapons, so that they could supposedly "defend" themselves, but it's another to allow them to have a nuclear arsenal at their disposal.. they say it might be used against Iran soon.

A lot of things are illegal about US Israel relations. It hasn't stopped us yet from promoting only their side of the debate.

Frankly we in the US need Israel in order to have an effective and strong inroad into Arab politics. Without Israel, Arab countries wouldn't do any sort of business with us at all.

We need Arab countries to hate Israel more than they hate us so that we can do business with them and also so that we can always have a port whenever we need to attack the mid east.

It's just a matter of time until nukes are used by any and eveyone.

Wow, this is kinda strange to actually hear. This instantly reminded me of the thread here on ATS about how the C.I.A. said something along the lines of Israel not lasting another 20 years. Everyone always says that Isael only exists because the US is backing it, what if this is the end of that? Very interesting.

This IS a good point.
If it weren't for the intervention of American interest, Israel would have been destroyed long ago.

But, I wouldn't count on the US dropping the Israelis as allies because we require them as a stable foothold in the region. Now IF we can be certain that we can gain the same, or even better, foothold without them, we will drop them in a heartbeat.

Maybe their Iraqi and Afghani exploits have given them reason to believe we no longer need Israel?
Either way, the entire situation is shameful. Israel as an ally or not.

Let me put this bluntly - Our Government is the main reason mankind has not evolved beyond the point we are at. We actively support chaos across the globe in the name of profit.

Three words: Not Bloody Likely.

It's illegal to extract information to be used in Court under duress but the government does it anyway.

It's illegal to support genocide but the government does it anyway.

It's illegal to cycle on the roads but people do it anyway and no even cares anymore.

This is just a non-issue these days, America and Israel's parasitic relationship is something taken for granted and rarely challenged, and anyone who does go against the "Holy Alliance" is simply smeared with AIPAC's "Anti-Semitic"/"Holocaust Denier"/"Bigot" brush and that's the end of them.

The Jewish Lobby in the US is simply too strong for even US Federal Law to take on.

Why protest about something most folks have been fully aware of since the 1980's?
