Face of Christ 'appears in cushion' at Jesus-Misericordieux church Reunion

www.news.com.au

THOUSANDS of people have flocked to a Roman Catholic church on the French Indian Ocean island of Reunion after believers said they saw the "face of Christ" in the pleats of a church cushion.

Church officials limited access to the Jesus-Misericordieux church in eastern Saint-Andre's Cambuston district to a few minutes per visitor as traffic in the area ground to a halt.

It's all a bit silly, isn't it? To me it seems like a plotline from an episode of The Simpsons.

People are mocked for seeing lots of other tangible things such as lights in the sky, yet thousands of people are prepared to accept that a face in a cushion is that of their saviour.

Where's the next ride off this planet, please?

All I want to know is, whoever sat on Jesus' face, will they be going to Hell? I think this is a valid question.

edit: Okay, I was informed that I was going to Hell for this post.

SOmeone had better call that casino (Golden Palace) that buys this stuff

I mean if they will pay almost 1800 US for a pierogi that has the image ill bet the cushion is worth big bucks

www.goldenpalaceevents.com... casino has made headlines worldwide with eBay purchases such as the Virgin Mary Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Pope Benedict XVIs previously owned 1999 Volkswagen Golf, and Britney Spears Used Pregnancy Test, as well as their innovative ad tattoo on the bodies of sports figures, celebrities, and even animals.

Man, it's amazing the kind of things that Christians will flock to for hope, yet they call us all crazy when we say that we say a ball of light in the sky.

The power of suggestion is very strong.

It is becoming a world wide culture, it is not just Christians it exists every where excluding some wise individuals. Great find FredT.

I have seen fans standing around for days and makes me question their sanity. I seen gamers stand in lines for days, sleep in cold waiting for a store to open and I wonder.

I'm waiting for someone to find a "stigma" on the cushion as well

And perhaps a few "oil" stains

====

Grilled cheese sandwich: Would you really want to eat me? Weren't you taught to respect those who came before you?

vcwxvwligen: I got a jones in my bones for some crispy cheesy goodness, so save me the waterworks, grandpa.

Grilled cheese sandwich: vcwxvwligen?? Is it really you?!

vcwxvwligen: Oh no! I must throw away all of this demonic heavy metal music at once! Barry Manilow, in you go. Mmmm, I bet they didn't have grilled cheese at the Copacabana.

Grilled cheese sandwich: Noo, I'm melllting ... meeelting!!!

Judging from some replies in this thread I would appreciate some contribution to this thread or at least a skim of its point.
