I've noticed that there are some members that have painted a target on Canada. Over half of one persons threads are dissing us, others are saying things like "I don't like what Canada does",etc. Now, I'm not talking about the majority here, but those people who are doing this, whats the freakin problem?

I think we should nuke canada.

Canada is the United States' Portugal.

Nice statement, but I'm still wanting to know what the problem is.

Outside of some of the Canadian governments decisions, I love Canada and Canadians. I liken it to people saying they don't like the US government, but like the people. I've driven up to the 'Falls a million times. Well, not that many. But I love going there and stopping at the duty free stores on the way back

Too bad it's illegal for you to name names and call people out on ATS, but you should do it anyway. I want in on the lynching.

I have no problem with Canada, I'd feel more comfortable living there than here in the USA. That's why I'm moving to the Yukon in two years, lol.

Now that I think about it, I have one problem with Canada. Ya'll aren't imperialistic. Can't you at least roll over a small Caribbean island in a blaze of hegemonistic glory? I'd be happy to be a colonist. Yukon = burr.

Well, I know there seems to be an issue with their security policies as far as letting people in.

Plus they have no right playing Major League baseball. That belongs to the US.

Too much hockey, mayonaisse on everything. Too many game show hosts coming out of there (Alex Trbek, etc.)

I'm sure I missed a few.

Well send that member a u2u. If we had a new thread like this every time someone says they don't like someone or something we'd never get to any real topics. But from the stand point of just reading what you said if I was to base all of canada on your comments I'd say they are to whiney.

Well im glad you seem to have more logic then that because you don't see the rest of the Canadians complaining
I really couldn't care if people have problems with Canada because im quite happy where i am and im not about to get upset over someone calling our country a name.

Well John, I can see that you will be a lot of help in this endeavor. If you want to engage in a flame war I can assure you "whiny" is the last thing I am. I am putting this forth to people that have a beef, which I will be more than willing to take up. If that's the best you have you better leave the Pit.

Canada has French as one of its languages, problem solved.

We got sarcastic brains that influence the idiots when their satire is takin literally.

Canada brings in good weed, never been there but i live it for that.

I like Canada. They mind their own business to start wars (unlike the US) and they dont cut down their forests
a peaceful nation

OK. We'll stop having fun

As I said in my original post, your border security is too lax. You let anyone through security, if they promise to come back in six months for a hearing.

Why does that bother me? Most of the 9/11 terrorists came into the US through Canada.

To intrepid:

You can have them all except for da Broons. The Cup is ours this year.

French canadian here!

I'm not even going to get upset over this because I know that americans get criticized a hell of a lot more than us by foreiners. Not that I say that in a mean way, it's just true.

I place Canada as the butt of my jokes, and to be honest, I'm not so sure why. I think it is because it is perceived to be bland and boring. Most people don't go out of their way to eat Canadian food or wear Canadian clothes, or listen to Canadian music. But I will admit, Canada is superior to America in many ways. But it's apples and oranges. We are very different countries, so it really isn't fair to compare the two.

That is true, our immigration policy is MUCH laxer than the States. I can see this being a concern to the States but your borders are still your own. Don't let people cross if you don't trust them.

Other than the obvious reasons why an American might be disgusted with Canada, I have no problem with Canada. Hell, I love having a neighbor who is more friendly with our enemies than us! It makes it easier for the enemy to come across our shared border so that we may apprehend or kill the enemy! I love how you guys have bitched about us for years! I love it when you guys drive down to Florida and stop along my state spreding your socialistic, anti-American opinion at every truck stop, gas station and fast food joint!

What, you are just now perceiving a "Growing weary of Canada" sentiment? Well, bless your little heart, we've been dealing with Canada's attitude for farkin' decades! Meanwhile, you certainly haven't suffered security-wise by being our neighbor during most of the last century.
