Is ATS & GLP the cause not the cure?

just asking.

Because fear is spread like a virus.
And mass stories of such epic proportion's.
That it reach's from aliens to obama having a gay lover that get's killed/or died.

But my point is Does it effect the community and your government?

Lets say i read a story about the bailout and the theory it's gonna bankrupt america to the stoneage.
I fall hook line and sinker ..and start telling other's what i read on here and other site's.
ANd it spread's... with no legitimate proof..
Within A year or two..it spreads across the entire usa..
People stop spending there money and start saving for the DEPRESSION!!!!
But because they was so afraid and didn't spend there money as normal....
It in itself plummets us into the depression.

Can you see my point?

So are these site's in your honest opinion no conspiracy talk.....
Possible of hurting thing's more than helping?

I wouldn't say so, because ATS (and such) enables one to Question Authority in an open forum. Sure, a lot of hooey gets fired around the Net. But it also shines a light into some pretty unusual corners, and that's good for democracy.

But to flat make up story's is another.

Millions now believe this story with NO solid proof other than well fabricated idea's....Unless you call Mayans proof

and that's my point..
When people make nwo economy fema camps story's and such of that nature government related...with some truth..and add there own idea's to further there OWN agenda. is more damaging to there country than helping.
In my opinion.

It starts a snowball effect...roll's and roll's till it get's big enough to hit something and do damage.

ATS is both. There is fearmongering, there is disinformation, there is manipulation, but there is also hope (and nothing related to Obama, the word was in use before he came along), there is truth, there are people giving their time and effort to help bring out the light.

So, like everywhere else in life, where you end up depends on personal choice. The world, much like the ATS theme I'm using, is shades of grey, up to the individual to chose whether he goes darker (like the current us police uniforms) or lighter (like light itself).

Yes. I've felt the same way for quite some time. There is use and misuse of ATS, and I'm not talking about the Terms and Conditions.

Thoughts become heavier, perception becomes narrower, behavior becomes repetitious. Not healthy, imo.

They are neither the cause nor the cure. The opinions, viewpoints and feelings they produce and espouse were around long before them, and will be around long after they're forgotten.
