Sorry but this idea of revolution is wrong. You are still based on the old system. The money system. Money are not good to eat, we can feed the poor withot money. And without the rich. Let them eat their gold.

This is the system we are caught in by the money creators and they want us like this. Dependant on them.

Why do I need money to survive on this planet ?
Billions of years have passed, suddenly I am born here and I find out there is this money system, and if I don't want to be a slave I need to hide somwhere where "civilization" hasn't reached yet.

Happy the age, happy the time, to which the ancients gave the name of golden, not because in that fortunate age the gold so coveted in this our iron one was gained without toil, but because they that lived in it knew not the two words 'mine' and 'thine'!

yes it is all bush's fault. it would have nothing to do with the 3000 point climb that happened during bush's years in the stock market. absolutely not. if it is good for rich people and happened under bush, it has to be bad for america.

you people make me sick

Most of the poor that I have met are every bit as evil as most rich folks. Some of the best people that I have met are in fact "rich". Yes..... it is possible to be wealthy and still be a decent spiritual person. Being "poor" is not necessarily a virtue..... unless of course it is a choice.

Those of the richest 400 that actually earned their keep, be it through smart investing, running a company compently and sucessfully, etc well good for them. Go Bill Gates, Go Michael Dell, and so on.
Those that ran companies in the ground and recieved huge multi million dollar bonuses for doing so? They and the people that allowed it should be beaten with a sack of hammers and stripped of their stolen wealth.
Those tax rates for the ultra rich under Bush would have been a blessing if the monies not paid to the Fed (saved by those tax breaks) would have all been put back into the respective corporations or the markets appropriately the economy would still be continuing to grow. A great deal of it I believe went into tax sheltered personal offshore accounts for some of those 400 wealthiest. A lot of it was squandered. A lot of it was lost in poor investments and shady business deals, and ponzi schemes. Was this the left or right wing politicians fault directly? No. (Though better oversight certainly would have helped). No this was the fault of pure human greed.
The individuals responsible for those decisions should be jailed, or at least forced to start over at a blue collar working mans level.
Now for those recieving huge bonuses from last falls 700+billion dollar "bailout" or those taking that money to overseas divisions of their companies, that being tax money that I paid in, I would like 10 minutes with each alone in a room with no windows. That is not the american dream, that is NOT even American! That is socialism and blatant thievery pure and simple of which the likes of you or I would be certainly tried and imprisoned for. Give me a crooked Wall Street Banker or his ilk and either Bill Clinton, Obama, or Bush to pin this on and I'll hang the banker and go have a beer with any of the other.
Just my $0.02 worth, carry on the debate.
TT.

That is true. Why are they that way ? Human nature ? Yes sure. The great lie that people are evil and there is no better way to live.

Read "Ishamel" by Daniel Quinn. Read "Ascent of Humanity" by Charles Eisenstein it can be found here :
www.ascentofhumanity.com...

As Columbus wrote of the Arawak (before murdering and enslaving them),
"They are so ingenuous and free with all they have, that no one would believe it who has not seen it... Of anything they possess, if it be asked of them, they never say no; on the contrary, they invite you to share it and show as much love as if their hearts went with it..."

Was an intense acculturation process applied to Arawak children in order to override their inherently greedy, selfish natures and impose the desire to share?

They brought us barels of cotton thread and parrots and other little things which it would be tedious to list, and exchanged everything for whatever we offered them...I kept my eyes open and tried to find out if there was any gold, and I saw that some of them had a little piece hanging from a hole in their nose. I gathered from their signs that if one goes south, or around the south side of the island, there is a king with great jars full of it, enormous amounts. I tried to persuade them to go there, but I saw that the idea was not to their liking...They would make fine servants... With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.

You know, Steven Tyler is very likely on that 400 richest people list. And if he's not, he's just insanely rich anyways... so just because he's so cool he's allright? Or would you revolt on him too?

Is anyone surprised that Bush and Cheney enriched their buddies through their administration?

Now, before you say I'm a Bush hater, Clinton did the same thing.

I'm a misanthrope - especially if its a politician.

Extreme stratification in any society is a sign of collapse. It cannot be continued on an ongoing basis. Unfortunately for us, since Nixon or so our government has been selling out the masses of people for the benefit of a very few business people at the very, very top. This isn't new. It happens during the downfall of every civilization.

We are simply watching the economic portion of the downfall of American society. I'm not sure who will actually be on the rise next.

Well it seems the 3000 point spike was not very solid in its basis now does it?
People blame BUSH because he was in charge, yer old GOP neocon RESPONSIBILITY thing you shuffle around.

Lets say swatman, you were in charge of a tactical team... You make the call to enter the breach walking backwards - yer whole team gets smoked like a sausage.

Do ya think you might be some what responsible? Not with neocon logic I guess.

Anyhow ASI is right. 400 - FOUR HUNDRED - 100x4 doubled their income...
Paid less percentage in taxes then YOU...

BUSH went to far to fast - he siphoned a quarter of the economy into a few peoples pockets. Money that would ordinarily pay credit card bills, house payments and small businesses.

Of course those 400 folks just needed a couple tens of billions back so they can build a compound out of hundred dollar bills. And wipe their cracks with G's.

YOU are the problem - your half rotten fascist views.

Why don't we just name a king and start an official aristocracy? Serfs and shill.

We are sick of you 2 mate. Rich folks before yer country, hardly AMERICAN.

Don't mind ASI - this fellow is messaging his butt cheeks with his shoulders.

If you looked at the odious debt we helped create in those third world nations, you'd see capitalism at its extreme did the job for that. But then again, judging by your posts, you'll justify that and the World Bank and IMF too.

One of those top 400 is Ty Warner, the creator of Beanie Babies. That man had a brilliant idea and worked his tooshy off to get up on that list.
His money is going to grow like crazy during this administration as well, because those same accounts available to you at that level are still fully functional, and your money can't help but grow like mad over time.
You're going to take his money away and revolt against him?

Once you have over a certain amount, if you're either smart with growing money or have a good business management company looking after your money, your net worth grows like crazy. Which is a good thing, because being rich through hard work is very expensive.

Unless you were born with your money or won the lottery, you have a business to run or job to do and a staff to pay. That business manager takes a good chunk. As does your legal team, PR firm, manager, etc. Well paid employees are happy employees.
They take some of that moola, too.

Do you have any idea how much Ty Warner's insurance fees alone cost?
Thank god his money doubled in the past few years, because without it he would have to scale back in harder times and let go of some of his staff.

A homeless person would call any of you guys "top 400". Might as well be, compared to where they're sitting. So should they revolt against you?
You make 50k! You don't need MORE.

Power, control...... are these simply manifestations of our "self centered/selfish" nature as suggested by Eisenstein? I find these ugly characteristics to be more an unexpected development within a species that at some point stepped outside the boundaries of it's intended function.

On a more bizarre note...... the problem may well be due to genetic manipulation by a malevolent source. The "superstitious" Arawak and other ancestral tribes may have known more about the "human spirit" than their modern day "scientifically inclined" descendants.

I'm sure in a few months a light stomping will be the least of your worries, this is snowballing out of control, and there are not many willing to stand up, be heard and take action, I really am sick of trying to put the word out, it's not working, peace

I'm certainly not rich, at least I don't feel that way. The government thinks I am though. My income almost doubled in that same timeframe also. It was through hard work, dedication and much personal sacrifice. It's called The American Dream. I'm a bad guy now?

In many cases, these 400 rich individuals are responsible for hiring scores of other people under them. Entrepreneurs undertake much risk, and therefore are capable of reaping great reward. That's wrong? Are you just jealous?

What's wonderful about America, is that, if you wanted, you could be become one of those 400. Have a great idea, a great business plan, and the guts and you could then be successful too. Or you could fail, and lose everything. You rarely hear about the losers.

Remember, a vast number of "taxpaying" Americans don't really pay income tax anyway. How can you give someone a tax cut from taxes they don't pay? A tax cut for the poor is another way of saying, an increase in government handout. If you're going to give ANYone a tax cut, it has to be for the ones who pay the taxes, and in America, it is the rich. The top 1% wage earners in America pay the vast majority of the income taxes. Sounds pretty messed up, huh? What's even more a travesty is different people's definition of "rich".

We all make choices, don't penalize me for making the correct ones.

Gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme, gimme.............

You will pay less of a % of your income than a middle class guy like me but that's OK to you I bet, isn't it? You're smarter and produce jobs for the lesser people right? You sound like an arrogant child who can't get enough candy. Grow up and pay your fair share like good Americans should be willing to do. People like you are what's wrong with America, you want to take more and give back less to the country that supports your way of life. Disgraceful.

Hasn't anyone noticed the FACT that if the tax rate of the rich was reduced by a third, but their income doubled, they actually paid a higher amount in total to the government.

If you paid 60 percent of 1 million in taxes, that would be 600,000.
If the rate went down by a third to 40 percent, but you made 2 million, you would pay 800,000 to Uncle Sam.

I hate to give such an obvious example, but it really is as simple as that and somehow people just don't see it.

Put the blame where it belongs. Lower taxes allow the rich to create more jobs and expand their businesses AS WELL as pay more in taxes overall.

If you don't like what the government does with the money, I'm right there with you, but lower taxes benefit everybody except the power hungry politicians who don't like us being capable of taking care of ourselves without them.

I am absolutely not rich by the way. I make $32,000 a year in California.

Again, a thread made useless.
You guys are ragging on Gates, and Buffet. They earned thier keep as they came up from middle class.
Why don't you guys look at the real problem and the real crooks of the US system. In fact it's the same one's that have the World Bank as well.
It's called the Federal Reserve. They make numbers on a computer and not only do we have to pay that back, they charge us interest to boot.
And it's compounded interest.
Man, that's like eating beans and charging for your farts.
These are some seriously sick people too. They are not on the Forbes list either. Forbes can't count that high. These people had billions around 1905.
They are into the Trillions and I am sure we will learn what the next name is soon.

Just cut the head off of the chicken. No more Federal Reserve Bank..........
Leave them hold the air that they created and tell them to F*** off with their Debt. There should not be any income tax. In fact, they could start with a 10% flat tax and ease it down over 10 years and get by just fine without having to cut too much from the Govt.
If they get out of the Wars, we could put that into Social Programs to make the Left wing happy as well.

It is our right.
It is in our Constitution.
We can make them change it.
We just have to tell each person you know.
Have them tell everyone they know, etc so forth and so on...
