Nah, there's a few of us out there that are willing to go to the mat...I started a thread last week about sending teabags to our congressional reps and senators for a good 'ol fashioned Tea Party that was pretty much met with a resounding silence, though.... details here: www.abovetopsecret.com...'

Not trying to hijack, but it does seem that Americans, for the most part, are a very complacent and docile bunch when it comes to confronting their criminal government...but you get what you deserve, eh?

Now that the state of Kalifornia is withholding tax returns, in essense stealing money from taxpayers, one would expect to see a protest or two..but no...It makes me wonder if Americans even deserve the limited freedoms that they have left

well, i for one will not go quietly, as I wrote about in this thread. I'd appreciate if you'd read, you don't have to comment if you don't want. I think we should get organized. Easier said than done, huh? In the mean time I'd recommend doing anything you can, even little shows of anarchism and non-compliance.

We Americans can just send our creditors and tax collectors IOU's. It's not like we will have an alternative in the future. See if they can bail that out.

No need to run around yelling and destroying things.

As many as 40 million Chinese who moved from the country to the city to find work are expected to lose their jobs this week as the New Year celebrations come to a close.

Am I reading this right?

It is stated twice in the article that tens of millions will lose jobs in one fell swoop.

Central Communist Party School, who estimated that between 20 and 30 per cent of the 130 million provincial Chinese who moved to the city for employment would find themselves obsolete.

Add this from Nevada. UNR students protesting a 45% cut in higher education funds. Threatening to close whole campuses across the state.

Edit to add:

This is going to ruffle some social feathers here as well. And as this economy unwinds we will see more and more Madoffs exposed. Which will likely piss everyone off once they figure out how badly they've been screwed. The following ATS thread is about the drying up of unemployment benefits.

I will go to any rally within driving distance. Given the economic circumstances, I can't exactly fly across the country to protest.

I am a little surprised that there has not been ANY demonstrations against Gov. Bailouts.

And don't get me started on the moronic French .. they are not heroes, they are not brave, they are not protesting for any cause.. they are being French. And that one noun is all that needs to be said about that. French.

I find it VERY telling that there was ZERO coverage in most major US Newspaper on Sat. regarding the massive protests in Russia and elsewhere. That says to me that there is a concerted effort to keep Americans in the dark regarding the world wide anger of what has happened.

This is for fear of the American public's reaction. I can not believe we have allowed our media to fall into the hands of a few corporate hands, hands that are all to ready to do the bidding of the Banking Cabal that controls the world.

This news Black out in the American press was a real eye opener for me.

NEVER trust the American Press....ever again!

Too often in our democratic process special interests have driven the agenda. It may be, unfortunately, that these protests and strikes are among the few ways people feel they can rebalance an agenda that's been captured by special interests.
