Lets look at what we have,

We are a society of people who have language and comminication divices, very decent technology, educational system's, wide range of arts and entertainment, fairly structered sciences...
There is alot we are capable of.

Survival has been the mode of living since the beginning of time, so we created countries, militaries, arms and religions to better understand and adapt to life to surive. Man is extremely adaptable to the environment and moves very quickly. Fast foward thousands of years to today.

We are entering a new age. With better technology, and with better and better efficency. In the next few years, our survival is going to depend on spreading and releasing newer technology to the world and ending the wars and strife of an old past age of survival and enter a new age of life.

We are entering the next level in this game, so to speak, and to survive now is going to be different than it ever was in the past. If we don't see this, it could mean massive worldwide distruction, and we would be doing the oposite of survival.

To survive with high technology a society must work at perserving life and uniting the planet, if not, life ends. This is a fact in any society once it reaches a state of high technology, which could destroy or save life very very easily. This is what seperates the men from the boys, so to speak.

So for the sake of this discussion how can this new alien technology have a negative impact on our society, if it could be used at the press of a button(so to speak), to give all essentials to the entire planet. I mean come on, we can allready destroy the entire planet with a button(nukes). There's no reason to not release the alien technology, unless your worried about decentralizing the power and collapse of buisness and central monetary systems. With the technology we would be far too advanced for such "lesser systems" and we would have to slowly release the technology, while putting the new system in place. Again, we would need to accept a collaberation with the E.T's, coupled with more of their technology which we do not have, in created this "new system".
We would all live free. If this was a possibility would you say no? If so why? and forget about how society would or would not fuction with said technology and aspects in place, ask yourself, who eles but the people who own and control this world(buisness) would not want this to happen...

There is no other.

The only negative impact would be in how the technology is used. Mankind is advanced, but not so much as advanced in the mental and social political areas.

For example, look at whats happeing over in the middle east. Continuous fighting for centuries, and it still happens. Religious disputes, differences and clashes. Tribal warfare has been mankind's major hurdle to overcome in its quest to move into the future. Basically, mankind needs to grow out of its infancy first, before being allowed to have within its hands power that can literally vaporize this entire planet.

Not sure when that will occur. Perhaps some subtile releases will work, but even with that, it will have to be done with great care.

Cheers!!!!

what tech are you on about?

Only thing I could see using alien tech for right now is to create robotic soldiers, ships, subs, planes, smart weapons, C & C so our young people don't have to fight. Let the machines enforce the peace we define.

Skynet and Gort aren't scary if done right.

There is no alien tech, I have never seen anything that we have today that can be seen as "Alien Tech".....

"But... but... Roswell" you say... So what computers were created decades before Roswell... By the British of course, infact the Brits have produced most of the world’s best technologies during WWI and WWII, does this mean we have an alien ship too?? I mean come on the US can't hog all the UFO's right?

Or maybe there is no alien tech and we humans as ingenious as we are created it ourselves. That's right think about it, a human creates a computer first from wood which evolves to bulbs, wires and gates and then to silicon and transistors, Next level is carbon and nanotubes, then quantum machanics and light but I suppose you would say that this was Alien tech too... or maybe witchcraft.

Im very happy that we can count on your absolute certianty of no alien tech! Now I can sleep better at night...or day.

The problem is that there is no evidence either way. So no one can really say it exsists or that it doesnt. 50/50, guesswork and speculation.

Either prove it does, or prove that it doesnt.

Cheers!!!!

You name a technology and someone, somewhere will tell you how it works and how it is built. There is no mystery of today's technology it naturally evolved from it predecessor technologies.

Just name one technology that people believe is "alien tech" or backwards engineered "alien tech"?

And it's quite easy to disprove alien technologies in todays world just go to the person who invented it and ask "was this technology provided to you via an ET origin"

Were allready past the age of closed minded scepticism, deniability, and people who derail threads, get over it!

You don't sound very sceptical for someone who thinks..
"just go to the person who invented it and ask was this technology provided to you via an ET origin"

Your the type of person who blindly beleives and follows whatever is being told. Move on..
