Yep. Carter was nice, polite, and likeable. The problem was, when the chips were down, he turned out to be an idealistic turd who folded under the pressure.

Let's give this other nice, polite, and likeable guy a few months. I highly suspect he too is a turd, with no experience doing ANYTHING, with no TRACK RECORD, but who knows? Even a blind man can swat a fly now and then.

Well Obama does deserve the chance, after all he got elected. But you know, that "hit and miss" scenario is a scary thought considering the many "targets" ie..problems in this country. I wonder how many will get missed.

Cheers!!!!

World events shape great leaders not the other way around. Events will unfold that will shape Obama and force the hand of the elite. If you think I am talking about skipping thru a field of pansies singing "All You Need is Love" you misunderstand my view. A hellstorm is about to loosed on Obama as the greedy ones walk off leaving the US for dead. But they underestimate the American people. They have underestimated us in the past and I believe change is coming not from Obama but from the tough decisions that must be made. The Depression and WWII shaped FDR into one of our greatest presidents without those events I don't think he would have even been elected.

I can't help but wonder how all the Obama followers are going to act when Obama's true nature comes out.I have never seen people fall for a politician like this sooo I have to think there just a few sad people with no life or they are being payed to put this stuff on webs.

Again he has no experance,NONE.He is a product of the Chy Town thugs for the past 20 years. They are all falling and yet Obama is Mr Clean,do you all really belive that????How can someone be a part of a gang and never participate in gang activaties????

A writer named Ali Sina said; What can be more dangerous then haveing a man "bereft"of a conscience,a serial lier, and one who cannot distinguish his fantasies from reality as leader of the free world. There is no insanity greater then electing a pathalogical narcissist as president.

Again I will say when this joke all comes down, all you Obama lovers will not have "Get out of jail free"cards you will be right there with the rest of us in the crapper.

Carter was a failure because he didn't play ball. In Washington you have to give to get, ironically enough just like is obviously the case in Illinois. Carter did not make the concessions that were wanted of him therefore, he could get nothing accomplished.

You are quite correct in that he was an idealist, and politics is not the perfect environment for an idealist unless he is willing to sacrifice some of his ideals in order to get other ones installed.

Regan also did not bargain; however, Regan was a bully. He would basically tell congress if you don't pass what I want I will expose you to the people as anti-American and tell them you wouldn't vote for anything I wanted unless I made concessions to what you wanted. Besides being an elitist, he had the benefit of being a bully for which Washington is an ideal playground.

Are we talking about the same FDR that brought socialism to America?

New deal = socialism 101

You can have Obama...he promised changed and then took people who previously had some type of authority and put them in his cabinet...what a change...when I watched the debates the people truly scared me more than Obama himself, they cry, yell, and just seem so brainwashed and so 100% behind their candidate...to be so sure and to believe so much in someone as to cry when they speak is ignorant. I really think people judge this book by its cover because if they opened it up I believe there are many secrets Obama is hiding which would ruin him...I don't trust him at all and I truly get a Hitler like vibe from him...those supporters at the campaigns even include little kids seem to me as brainwashed as Hitler's followers in Nazi Germany...

Yep that's the one! FDR saved "the economic royalists" asses after their inablility to contain their insatiable greed ruined the country. The unregulated free market has been proven time and time again for time immemoriun to be a complete and utter failure as a vialble economic system. Have you read a newspaper lately? Well they've done it again and it will take decent honest americans to save those greedy b*stards one more time. Remember sharing? They must have missed that class in their private kindergarten boarding schools. It's really as simple as that.

You all must still be hypnotized by his mass hypnosis techniques.

We screwed ourselves. At a time we need the most experienced, trustable, bright leader, we elect a very inexperienced lawyer from the most corrupt city in America who fills his team with the very people that caused this calamity in the first place.

You can have Obama. We don't need Obama. Historically, a cult of personality marks the beginning of something very bad about to happen. Stay tuned.

Well, majority of people bashing him are doing so because he has ZERO experience to run this country....has NO track record that shows he can run this country....has nothing but questionable people he associates with....has the "I dunno, I'm clueless, must deny everything" syndrome....and the list goes on. People are bashing and judging him on his RESUME...his track record....the ONLY thing anyone has to judge him on.

So people bashing are justified in their bashing, IMO.

If, people are going to praise him BEFORE he is sworn in...I would ask this: WHAT is there to praise him about??? His past? And if so, what exactly? His speeches written by others? His ability to speak in front of people? WHAT else is there? I still to this date, have never seen anything.

*shrug*

I read a couple of the first posts, it's great to see people having fun yet being serious at the same time.

Even though we haven't seen him in office yet, that speech he gave after he won the election sure did make me feel good about the world and people. All of those smiling faces and people crying in joy. Hopefully, those faces will remain everyday. I would really like to see things change in the next 4 years.

We can do it!

What a bunch of non sense hogwash! My prediction is you are about to see the biggest case of buyers remorse and let down in a generation. Any time you put that much confidence in a political leader you are only setting yourself up for a big let down.

I don't really think that Obama is someone special, he's a politician and he'll probably act like one when in WH.
Actually, I think that Americans are supporting him just because Bush was such a prick, and made world really dislike them. If they had a normal dude for a president last 8 years, you can bet Obama wouldn't be The Chosen One.
Also, if Obama doesn't deliver, you can bet they won't throw just shoes on him.

You can have him. You can marry him. You can make soup out of him. You can carry him home in your pocket. You can smoke him in a pipe. You can wrap him in a Christmas present. You can dress him up as tea-time Barbie. You can make him beat up your husband. You can take him to the local pub. You can make him iron your socks. You can make him do your paper route. You can paint his toenails. You can shave his eyebrows. You can brush his teeth. You can beat him at video games. You can make him read you bedtime stories. You can roll him up in toilet paper. You can make him drive in circles. You can make him draw circles. You can make him eat doughnuts (circles). You can do whatever you please.

As long as you take him home with you to New Zealand.

I cannot believe the crap I am reading here. Of course Obama is not for sale because he has been bought and paid for by the NWO. I am thinking there will be a lot of very disappointed people once your hero is in office. The changes you are going to see is only in quantity: More wars, more taxes, more poverty, less freedom. But you guys won't allow yourself to see it because you have been brainwashed just the way it was all planned. Would be intersting to see your responses in 2012 (if there still is going to be an internet where we speak out freely)
