Police Protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves.
Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the
crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Personally, I carry a gun because I'm too young to die and too old to
take an ass whoopin'.

I could not have said it better myself.
If we all had one it would be alot more fair in this world.

That's stupid. Carrying a gun means you're much more likely to die, not less -- but it gives you the choice of putting up a fight.

(I assume a lot of those are deliberately meant to be humorous though -- the paranoid one made me smile)

I assume this is a joke - check the stats and you'll find that (obviously enough) carrying a gun means you're much more likely to get killed.

Unarmed people don't try to take on situations. Armed people do, and get killed.
